Anyone From Ohio Here?
 
Hello, I'm a Yorkie Lover from Ohio looking for other Ohio Yorkie Lovers to chat with. I bought my first and only Yorkie last January and she'll be a year old on the 24th of this month. I'm looking to breed here in April. So, I'm really looking forward to having some little ones running around. :D I think I already have a male lined up for her when the time comes, but I'm keeping my options open. Oh, by the way, her name is Kayla and she's the most spoiled rotten little brat you'll ever meet, but I love her just the same. :) She's my baby. I've had her since she was about 8 weeks old. She always has her tounge sticking out of her mouth too. Does anyone else's Yorkie do this? I mean, she has it sticking out 90% of the time. This is actually the reason I bought her, because she looked so adorable with her tounge sticking out at the pet store. :) Well, if there's anyone else out there from Ohio give me a shout out. Would love to chat with you all. I live close to Cambridge, by the way.

Welcome to YT. There are lots of Ohio people on this site and I'm sure they
welcome you too. There is a thread called Ohio Anyone and there were
quite a few names but we have so many more people since then. Miezzi
and I want to wait until the holidays are over and then try to reach people
to see if they would be interested in a "spring meet up" depending on how
bad this canine flu shows itself but it's something in the back of our mind
and would love to meet there also. Hope you can post pictures when you
have time of your little one. I'm sure everyone on yt would like to talk
with you though.

Hi, nice to meet you. I live about 100 miles or so south of Cleveland. My soon to be hubby is from Columbus, so I'm constantly traveling the hour long drive there to visit with his family, so I know exactly how that is. :)

Thanks for the welcome and it's nice to meet you. What part of Ohio are you from? I'm from the southeastern, near New Philadelphia and Cambridge, if you know where that's at. Not too many people seem to.

I know what you mean about the canine flu. I really hope it doesn't make it's way here. It's such an awful thing to happen to our lovable pets. I don't think it's reached it's way into Ohio yet, but I could be wrong, hopefully I'm not.

I've got a lot of pictures of Kayla (my puppy) on my computer, but I'll have to size them down before I can post any or everyone would have to scroll all over the page just to see the full picture. So, I'll have to wait a bit before I post any pictures of her.

Once again, nice to meet you and I'm sure I'll love it here at YT. :)

My husband's family is from Painesville so we travel from NC to visit for holidays. Trying to work the Cleveland dog show in with this year's Christmas trip. Hope I can! I'd really love to go!

PS- My Maggie will be a year on November 2. Guess our babies are around the same age :)

I think I have talked to you before!!! I live in Austintown!!!! And didn't you just adopt "Petey" from SimaonandHAllie's mom??????

YES! I could not, for the life of me, remember who exactly it was that i talked to about living in Austintown! My boyfriend lives there and I actually teach dance in Austintown and was there tonight. haha- had to also stop at kfc on my way home. We should really talk though! I just found a new groomer that I absolutely love.

and yes, my dad and grandma got "petey" from Kimberly. His original name was Phooey (phewey..whatever. regardless, it was terrible) so the lady that was kinda fostering him changed it to Petey. Well, he wasn't responding well to it and my grandma didn't like it much anyway.. so I suggested Louie because it rhymed with Phooey. Sure enough, he caught on right away. She likes to spell it "lewie" though, because it's "FRENCH" haha. she's so silly.

But anyway, PM me sometime!

Nine yorkies! Wow! I only have Kayla right now, but I plan on maybe keeping one of her puppies when/if she has them this spring. I think I'll probably stop at three yorkies though. Right now she's so spoiled that I couldn't imagine having more than one, because she demands ALL the attention right now. Earlier I was online and she kept barking at me until I let her sit in my lap while I typed! She is majorly spoiled!!! I love her none the less though. :)

Nope, don't know Sharon. If she's a breeder from around here, maybe I'll get to know her sometime in the future though. :) Did you get your yorkie from her? Is she a good breeder?

Thanks for the welcome and it's nice to meet you. :) I'm sure I'll have good luck with Kayla when/if she has puppies this spring. I can't wait! I still remember when she was a little puppy and how adorable she was.

Wow, you have a bit more distance to cover than I have to to see the in-laws, but I'm sure it's worth the trip. :) Hope you're able to make the Cleveland dog show. Good luck to you!

Hello. Seems a lot of people on here are from NE Ohio. I'm feeling kind of left out over here on SE side. :P It'd be great to have a meetup somewhere in Ohio though. I live right by Salt Fork State Park. *hint hint* Great place to go camping, fishing, boating, etc. :) I'm also willing to travel to a meetup though too, so any place is good for me. And I'll try to get pictures of Kayla on here soon. I want to make one into my avatar too. Well, it's nice to meet you and I'm sure I'll have a wonderful time here at YT.

Hello, nice to meet you, too. I know I'm going to love this site. Everyone here is just so chatty and I love that there's so many people here from Ohio. :)

PS- Oh, wow, your yorkie is a November baby too! Only 22 days older than Kayla. They almost could of been birthday twins. :)

I'm from a small little town out in the country called Kimbolton. I'm sure you've probably never heard of it. It's very, very small. It's between Cambridge and another small town called Newcomerstown. If you've heard of Salt Fork State Park, I live a mile from it. It brings a lot of people here.

Have you ever heard of Chillicothe? I am about 10 miles South of Chilli.

Mickey is 19 months and Minnie is 16 months. I have had them both from age 8 weeks.

Yes, I've definitely heard of Chillicothe. My boyfriend's sister lives there and my brother and his family live close to there, so I know exactly where it is. :)

They're both still pretty young then. Are you planning on breeding them together ? I'm definitely planning on breeding my little Kayla this spring. I'm really excited about it too. I just love having little ones around and miss it now since Kayla has grown. Although, she still acts like a little puppy. When I got back from town today she'd ripped out one of my mom's plants from it's pot and had drug it all around the house and had the dirt all over the place. I just got done cleaning that mess up. :P

WOw we are all pretty close ,, Im In Dover,, right beside New Philadelphia.
