Wisconsin meet ups?
 
After hearing about YT meet ups in other areas, it made me wonder if one has ever been organized in the Wisconsin area. It sure seems like it would be a great time and I know I would love to have one (of course, we'd have to wait for all of the snow to to melt!) What do you guys think?

I would love to do that too.I wish I had the time to organize something like that it would be so fun . Keep me posted if there is others interested maybe we can come up with something . Of course after the snow melts. :aimeeyork

sounds great to me!!!! how many of us in wisconsin are there and where are we all from? i am in elkhorn near the ill border about 45 min from milwaukee. we also have property up near tomahawk

We might be moving to WI, but I don't know if we'll be up there by the time the snow melts. :D My parents have a little cabin in Door County and my brother lives in Appleton where we were thinking of moving to. I see mostly big dogs up there. Are there many Yorkies?

I live in the Marshfield area, but I searched online last night and found that there are quite a few dog parks in Wisconsin. Especially like the Madison area had a lot of them. I've never been to any of them, but would be willing to go check them out and see if they'd be a good place to meet!!

I have only seen one yorkie in my area in the past few years, but I have seen a ton of other small breed dogs!!

I'm in marshall wisconsin (ten minutes from madison) I know what you mean about this snow!!!!! It's slowly melting though :)

I live in Madison. We have several dog parks here but I've never been to any of them. I've heard good things about some of them tho.

I see lots of people walking their Yorkies and other little dogs in Madison.

I think the melting of the snow is well on the way now. Thank goodness!:D

Just when we thought we were rid of winter, here comes weather like today!! Snow and freezing rain... Guess a meetup is farther into the future than we imagined! :)

I live in Oconto about 30 miles north of Green Bay the weather starting to finally change for the better. I know quite a few people that own yorkies in my area that would be interested in having a meet up

Cool! We were just there last weekend... what a beautiful weekend. We ate at Good Company and got kettle corn at the 1910 Sausage Co. I can't wait to move up there. We are looking at Greenville :D We don't know any other Yorkie people here so I hope I get to meet some of you sometime!

Oh my! What a small world!! My mom lives in Greenville and she has 2 yorkies (both rescues) and a silky terrier.

Good company...oh yum-o :) We haven't tried 1910 sausage company yet, but it's on my list of places to go. Next time you are in the area, you should try Pullman's (it's owned by the same family that owns Good Co.) they have really good food and it's right on the river...very pretty!!

I do hope we can meet, Ellie loves other dogs.

We would love to come to a meeting!!!!! Most of them are too far for us to travel to, so Wisconsin would de do-able. We're from Northern Minnesota and always up for a road trip:D

If Rocky and Bella can start being nicer to other dogs by the time of this meet up, then I would love to go! Any ideas of where in Wisconsin it would be? I'm in northern Illinois.

Anyone with a 2009 Get together? We just got our little guy and havent seen to many "Real" Yorkies around.. I live in Neenah that is a part of Appleton Wisconsin

I live about 2 hours away from you..I agree with you. I haven't seen any real yorkies around either..

Well, come visit Madison then! There are tons of Yorkies here. I know of 6 just in my apartment complex. I've seen 4 across the street in the other complex. And every now and then I see someone on the street walking one as I drive around town.

I've seen them at Mounds an Petsmart too. Yorkies, yorkies, yorkies!!!

Then of course there are all the little hybrid babies like my Tink who is a Yorkiepoo and the only one I've ever seen in a dress! :)

Urgent - Yorkie needs help in Wisconsin
 
Hi I am with Save A Yorkie Rescue, Inc. in Reading, PA

But I was contacted by a woman who is just plain helpless and she was given a female Yorkie she cannot keep. She cannot find any Yorkie Rescues in the Wisconsin area with a phone number. She has no computer so she cannot write an email. Her name is Catrina Trotter, she is 45 minutes from Milwaukee, she does not drive. The dog is a 2 year old, 4 lb female.

IS there anyone in Wisconsin who could call her and pick up the dog?

Her number is: 608-432-3828. Please cross post widely. She can't handle the dog or keep it.

OMG! I really wished I would have seen this post much sooner. Does anybody know what happen to the yorkie?

I don't know if this dog still needs somebody to come get her and foster her but I would be willing to go get her and help find her a home.I will call the numbers tomorrow and findout a little more and see if I can help

Yes same her. I will be able to foster her also. I live in Wisconsin and will be able to pick her up as soon as this week.

I called both numbers and didn't get an answer but will try again I just hope the dog is okay and didn't have to go to a shelter
