Feed Back Needed Asap 2 Attachment(s) Ok so my husband met this lady and is going to do some work for her on her house in return for one of her female yorkies. So I'm supposed to go tonight and look at them to see which one I want. I've posted the two female up here. Tell me what ya'll think and which one you like. Do they look truly purebred? Her add in our local classifieds is posted below too. CKC, shots, wormed, vet checked, litter box trained, full fluffy coats, daddy is 4 1/2 lbs, mama is 5 lbs. Raised IN our home with our children,3 yorkies, 2 boston terriers and one 18 yr old lad.I'll call the babies pumpkingirl1-3 and pumpkinboy1 & 2. Because if I name them I'll keep them :0). SORRY NO SHIPPING ON OUR BABIES! We will meet people. |
They look like they could possibly be mixed. My yorkies at that age had fluffier coats. They could still be purebred but I would want to see parents. They are cute |
I'm no help on the purebred thing but they are little cuties. Good luck! |
They are both very cute. I wonder myself if they are mix of some kind. The ears look alittle to big for yorkies of that age! Good luck and le us know what you decide! |
I think the ears are pretty big and the coats look a little scant. But they are still cute. |
Can you have something that is registeredt as purebred not be one? |
They are adorable..how old are they..they look a bit long in the nose..but totally sweet!! Dawn |
They are cute, but look like a mix to me. |

Adorable. The markings look ok but I don't think these pups are pruebreed. Looks like they have another terrier in them as well as Yorkie. Face appears to be very long for a Yorkie. Could it be the Boston Terrier and Yorkie got together? They are cutie pies though. |
My husband said they were about 12 weeks old he took the pics and brought them home to me. The job he is doing is about a 500 dollar job and he told her that he wouldn't charge her if she just traded one of the pups that she is selling for 800. And they did look a bit long in the nose to me thats why I was curious |
Let's not forget that the woman may have bought her "Pure" bred Yorkies from a backyard breeder, petstore or puppymill and paid for and thought she bought pure Yorkies but because of where they originated from they could have had down the gene line something else mixed in and "Their" offspring is the product of that. This goes for size too. Just because you have two small parents does not always mean that the babies will be the same size or smaller. AND, yes pups are sometimes registered as pure but that does not always mean they are. Sometimes backyard breeders, puppymills etc. register the litter with the wrong parents. Paperwork is not always correct or kept tracked of properly. Just a thought. Elailne |
they look either like a mix or a poorly bred yorkie. But, they are as cute as can be. I agree the nosee is a little long. Actually, everything about them speakss mix. And yes, it is easy to fool the people at the CKC registry. no offense if your dogs are registered CKC. I don't knoww if they have changed it or not but used to be all you had to do is send pictures in and have a couple of witnesses verify that the dog is indeed purebreed. |
here are the two boys from same litter |
2 Attachment(s) lol oops |
How weird..the boys looks so different from the girls..they are ALL adorable!! How sweet of your husband to take a puppy in exchange for his work..cool hubby!! My heart melts for the puppy on the left..the little boy!! Dawn |
They are so cute! Good luck deciding! |
I also wanted to add..that pictures can really be decieving..sometimes I take a picture of my two and think..what the heck..that dosent even look like them?? When you see them in person you will probably see them so differently then they look in pics...good luck and I say go get your puppy!! hehe.. Dawn |
They look like a mix to me |
4 Attachment(s) they are very cute. but i agree....don't look "pure" to me. well, this is what maggie looked like at 12 weeks. she had what I would call a "full fluffy coat". i don't think her description in her ad is very accurate so that makes me question her all together. if you are def. wanting a pure yorkie...i would keep looking. if you fall for one of these pups and it doesn't matter what their lines might be...then go for it :) |

I think Britney's hair was similar to these puppies when I bought her home and now her hair is floor length. |
I think they are most likely purebred if she knows the weight of both parents. Maybe both parents are on site so you can see for yourself. I wouldn't say there is boston terrier in them and that sounds like the only option in that household. Boston terriers have that smashed-nose look going on which would be a very dominant gene. Go see them and ask questions, ask if there is any possibility she was bred to another dog. And let her know you don't trust paperwork. Either way, they are gorgeous...well worth a little house work. ;) |
lol its painting a couple of rooms and yes I do get to see the parents. |
The boys have a stronger marking of a yorkie than the girls seem to have. IMHO they all look like a mix breed. Either that or there is some mix breeding in their linage. The best judge will be you. Look them over and if you have doubts that they are not what you want, say so. Don't let anyone presure you into taking a dog you don't won't! You could always tell her you would like a VET to check him before you make a commitment. A vet should know if they are mixed. Good luck.....let us know how things turn out.:) |

Well they looked mixed to me but they are cute. A vet would not be able to tell you a definite yes or no as far as being mixed. Only a DNA test could do that. Does it matter if they are purebreed and do papers matter? I have to say, I think that their papers are probably worthless. The only thing that worries me is the type of breeder this person is. We have a problem with BYBs here. Do you have a phone number or name? PM me if you do, I might be able to tell you more. |
their faces remind me of my chihuahua when he was little like that |
I was reminded of dashounds (spelling). You need to also remember that a litter can have more than one father. So even if she saw the two yorkies tie, there could be a tie she did not see. |
They may be purebred and may not...CKC registration doesn't mean too much so far as being purebred. They'll pretty much register anything for money and a couple pictures. To me they look like badly-bred yorkies. They have very large ears and very long noses. They also look to have a coarse, wirey-like coat. You'll never have the long, flowing, silky coat with one of these puppies because it will be coarser and won't grow very quickly. |
