I wish I was that crafty and talented. BUT it would be a piece 'o cake for a real seamstress? It's kind of a lightweight fake leather. It would stay nice if stitched (whatever you call that buttonhold stitch)? I might do that then. Thanks for the advice. | haha! Sure, I'll pop the kettle on!!
It would be a very, very easy task for a seamstress. In fact, if any of your friends have a sewing machine. The machine does it by itself, it just needs someone to hold it in place and push the pedal so the needle moves.
I'd advise doing it on a piece of fabric first then seeing if the ring on the harness goes through without a problem.
Once the button hole is sewed, all you need is a sharp knife to cut the fabric in the middle of the stitching so that there's a hole. The button hole stitch is the same stitch as on shirts, you can do them in different sizes. The fabric will not rip, the stitching will keep it in place. Same as a regular button hole in a shirt/cardigan.
(Button hole, not hold. Stupid laptop keyboard! I should have checked my spelling before I hit post.)
And you're welcome! |
