They paid for all of us and we booked it months ago - they were very upset with me when I gave the impression that I may not be able to go. Then, my Mom offered to come up from Pennsylvania and nurse Joey back to health.....knowing that she is the ultimate dog lover and that I trust nobody else more, I took her up on the offer. Sometimes it is hard to make everyone happy and do things fairly, but I tried my best....this is the best thing I could have done, becasue this incident with Joey has put a strain on my relationship with my fiance...we needed to get away because of the stress involved with this. Also - we know Joey is in the best hands...AND I couldn't not show up on a vacation that Jeremy's parents would have lost out on more than $1,000 - they are not dog lovers, and they would have never understood me not going on this cruise.

I would have stayed with Joey in a heartbeat, but sometimes you have to put things in perspective and for me that means thinking about my future relationship with my in-laws and my fiance, in addition to Joey's health.

Thanks everyone for supporting my decision to go on this cruise - the last thing I need is for people to question why I chose to go, but I hope I explained myself well.
