Seeing everyone here have such good luck with their surgeries is helping me keep from getting too anxious. I know it is routine but when it is your baby, well :rolleyes:

I am glad he is home with me for sure!! Good luck to your boys..its totally different when its your dogs..worry worry worry lol...but its so worth it!! My kids just dont understand why I would do that to him lol...dont I love him?? I had to explain it over and over tonight...they just arent used to seeing Reece down and out and I think it scares them a bit..but in a couple days when he is back to his self they will think differently...and know I did it BECAUSE I love him!! :)

Dawn, I am so happy to hear that he is doing better and better. I hope today we hear that he is even better. Isn't it wonderful when your love and affection helps ease his pain:angel:

Reece is feeling better today..its bothering him he cant jump or go up and down the stairs..but he waits for me to pick him up. He finally lifted that leg to pee last night..but he was whincing in pain..and he slept all night and threw up on the bed this morning..ugg..but he seems to be feeling better this afternoon..thanks for everyones thought and prayers!!

Awwww, I'm glad to hear he is doing better now. By Monday he should be good as new:)

He seems to be about 90% better...but humping like crazy whats up with that???

Maybe he's figured out that he only has a couple weeks left for all that testosterone to be in his body so he's using it while he can!

My parent's yorkie, Rylie, has been staying with me the past couple weeks and sometimes he'll try to hump Lacy. I always get onto him but he just looks so happy when he's doing it. He's neutered but he's just so in love with her!

I just saw this thread and so glad that Reece is home and came through the surgery well! Sending get well wishes to cute little Reece. Maddie and Libby send lots of kisses!

It's good to hear he did well! :) I don't think you're supposed to bathe them for two weeks or so after - and even then give the groomer a heads up about being careful down there.

Raja took 1 month to heal because he pulled something lose inside (insert cringe here!), so he went over a month without a bath. :eek: Our little aftercare sheet from the vet said not to let them jump (like into or off a seat, etc).

Hope he's feeling better! If he's taking Metacam I bet he doesn't even feel a thing.

So far he CANT jump and dosent try to..he waits for me to lift him up or down..and I wont get him groomed for a while..although if you look down there you cant even tell he had surgery..maybe two tiny stitches...weird but good!! Also wanted to add they didnt give him any painkillers..is that normal? He isnt in any pain right now but the first couple days he was..
