| Toby'sMama | 08-25-2005 05:59 PM | I usually don't have to worry about people picking Toby up... he takes care of that himself. Although he loves people, he will run up to them, all excited, and just as they reach out to pick him up (or even pet him), he scoots out of the way. Everybody says, "he hates me" but I just tell them he's afraid if someone picks him up, he'll miss out on something. The thing that bugs me, is when I'm holding him, and they try to pet him on his head. He always ducks (even when I do it), so I have to tell them to first put their hand under his chin and let him smell them, and then he lets them pet away.
Anytime a little kid comes up to pet him, I tell them that they always have to ask, cause some doggies might bite them. I figure if the parent doesn't teach them, then someone has to. |
