Hi We are having the same problem with our puppy Sophie. Her hair has grown on her face and legs but her body is growing at a much slower rate. Is there specific supplements for hair growth? Send some pictures of your puppy and I will do the same. Thanks |
Some yorkies hair doesnt grow like others. I have been letting My Jewels hair grow for 3 yrs and you would think it would be it the floor but it is medium long. Ive only been letting Chachis grow for a yr and His is about as long as hers |
It takes 2-3 years for their hair to get long like what you've seen..and most of the people that have them like that, wrap their hair(mostly ones showing them) |
coat Your Yorkie looks to have a wiry coat in texture...impossible to get any length on them, the hair breaks off before it grows..but they are sure easy to keep groomed..self-grooming Yorkies..LOL |
The coat thing to me is so weird my oldest furbaby is seventeen months old and her hair is half way to the ground and it has not been cut, but my other girl Chloe is six months old and her coat is almost to the ground and three times as thick...LOL I have five and all of there coats are way different but I do belive that in time (up to three years) her coat will be where it needs to be:) hang in there:p |
2 Attachment(s) I also have a 6 month old baby Foxxy, who's hair hasn't grown much at all...It feels really soft though. There's a little hair on her legs and belly and under her neck but her back is kinda straight, soft & silky but straight...all her bros & sis's had the more thick, wavy, hair longer than hers....I think I'll try the supplements also and see if that helps...if not, I guess our babies will just have the forever Puppy Cut!!! :D My older furbaby Diva has more of a cottony coat and has managed to grow quite well so I'm hoping the same for Foxxy.... Here is a pic of my baby Yolanda |
3 Attachment(s) I think your right that its a wirey coat. Its very fine hair as well |
