To Bid or not to bid on the juicy carrier I really really want this Juicy couture carrier because it does not scream Juicy like the normal bags and no one will notice I am carrying a dog. The regular price of a juicy bag is around 350. This one is 280 on ebay. I emailed the person selling it and she says that it comes from a middle man because she can not directly buy from Juicy. I really want it, but I want it to be authentic for that price tag. I have been looking around for an alternative...and I dont really like the other ones. A store around here is selling a petote one from probably a year ago and the leather is not as nice. Am I nuts or what??? I keep telling myself to let it go...but then something is like BID BID BIDDDDDDDDDDDD...you will never find it again!!! |
i wouldnt pay that much! but a lot of people do i would really make sure its authentic first! |
I'd spend a few bucks more to insure that it's REAL. Nothing worse than paying big moola for a fake. PASS! |
I'd pass unless you know for sure it's genuine. |

I don't know how much your dog weighs or if you have even lifted one of the Juicy bags up but they are not light. I really wanted one a long time ago but realized why would I buy a bag that weighs more than my dog to carry her in. I think there are better carriers out there. |
I would pass as well... I love my juicy couture but wouldnt take a chance on ebay... there are more fakes then there are real ones. BUUUUT, why dont you send us the link, are there close up pictures of the bag? I know there are alot of ladys on here including me that know juicy pretty well and might be able to spot a fake just by looking at the pictures (it depends on the pictures but it couldnt hurt, right?) |
Does the seller offer a certificate of authenticity or a serial number you can call the company with to check? The easiest way to spot a fake juicy bag is if the handles are wrapped in plastic its fake. Juicy NEVER wraps the handles. Are the pictures on the auction of the actual bag or just stock photos from a catalog? Post a link to the auction. I'll check it out for you if you'd like. I've bought a few Coach bags ($398-$548 price range) from ebay, and people fake coach bags all the time. I just researched what to look for and got great results. |
I love my Juicy carrier---but for that price I would want to be sure it was authentic. Can you post some pictures? |
do you have a link to the auction? |
link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=160164432345 If the person does not pay in 24 hours she will offer me 2nd chance at 300. |
Wow that is a lot to pay for a bag. I am sure that there are better options then to spend $300 on a bag to carry your furbaby. It just seems a bit outragious for a bag. But that is my opinion. |

The pictures look authentic....I love my juicy and so does Vixxen! Its the perfect size for her. Its a personal choice really....I like the way this one looks too, very descreet. They are a bit heavy, but I love mine. |
Link your suggestions I am up for suggestions... I want a carrier that is 1/2 a purse 1/2 a carrier and does not stand out as a dog carrier. I am finicky about purses. I dont go buying a million of them. I invest in a classic and take care of it. So I am not a penny pincher when it comes to a good bag. 300 was my highest bid but it went for 385 so I guess other peoples limits are higher...haha... But i am open for suggestions...I have looked everywhere the only other one I really liked was a Cece Kent (the Milan) for 550...and that did not have the purse side...which is what I need |
Its authentic. The hardware definitely says juicy couture, on fakes it just has plain hardware. The liner is accurate, the stiching is pristene, the quilting is perfectly symetrical. I'd do it if you want it. It's really discreet. JUICY! in huge letters is not something I find attractive either, this one is really nice. |
be careful of eBay and juicy bags 1 Attachment(s) Quote:
It is unlikely that it is authentic. Last year we saw someone selling them for $68 each but you had to buy in groups of 3. It was from China. It was not easy to get 2 others and ship it to them so we did not do it. I think we were aware that they were not authentic, but it was only $68 and looked good. I ended up getting one as a gift and it was too small for my 4.5 pounder ... so I sold it and someone got it for a steal! Also, as someone else said, the bag can weigh more than your furbaby ... I found that to be the case .... Be careful on eBay .... http://reviews.ebay.com/How-to-Spot-...00000000701912 |
I can't find a picture of that black quilted carrier on any site I trust right now. It came out about a year ago so that's why... Just trying to find a pic to compare to one I know is authentic. I just can't remember what that black one looked like.. The only thing that makes me wonder is that the gold is so shiny..most Juicy items have a muted gold or silver hardware, but they could have made it with shiny hardware. I did find the carrier in pink and bronze on glamourdog's website. They don't have them for sale anymore but I thought you'd like to see pics of them: http://www.glamourdog.com/jucoquanca.html and http://www.glamourdog.com/jucoqubrpett.html That gold hardware just really makes me wonder...be careful |
Fake!! ive looked at this same style on ebay before(i wanted a different black leather one.. and this came up) i thought it was very cute also, but afraid to say.. NOT REAL!! Look at the tag on one of the last pictures.. it says 'LOVE G&P' and its SUPPOSED TO SAY "LOVE P&G"(the tag is all wrinkled too, which is weird) im sure its still a good bag-its cute!!.. but NOT REAL-so i wouldnt pay that much for it at all!! good luck though.;) |
It's a fake. Like MyfairLacy said, the hardware is shiny. Real Juicy bags have the muted gold. Plus, this seller is also selling a Louis Vuitton dog carrier for $280  and another fake Juicy. It's a good thing you got out bidded but I feel sorry for the people who pay so much for a fake. |
Yes its def. a fake! It's supposed to be P&G, and also the hearts are way too shiny. I used to have an Authentic Juicy and the hearts weren't so shiny. |
I don't know when they started to change it but the newer bags do have G & P. Procter and Gamble were starting to make noise about trademarks so they switched it around. I still think it's a fake though. |
Fake! If your patient enough, keep an eye out for a YT member who may be selling a Juicy carrier in the future. Or wait for sales at Neimans, Saks, etc. |
$300 is a lot to pay for something that you're not sure of. I'd take the $300, save $50 more and get the authentic one. JMO |

Im pretty sure it is a fake also... one of the tell tale signs is that the hardware is too shiny... after you get done with shipping ect. you are pretty close to paying full price anyway... If you are going to spend money on a bag as mine as well spend just a little more and KNOW that it is real.... GOOD LUCK! |
eh Yeah I am kinda thinking it is fake. She actually has another one that has a little damage where her dog chewed it and is offering it to me for $160. I don't really know what I want to do. I am taking Geogia to the Juicy Store today so she can test out the one they have. Here is the link of it.. http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/ca...=08-32962325-2 Who knows...maybe she won't like it? She is a picky lil thing. Also for anyone interested...this site is closing and there are great deals. www.maggiewags.com |
I just got scared because i bought Dior's Juicy bag from nordstrom last xmas and its says LOVE G&P. I was about to run right down to nordstrom now! (took a month for them to get that bag in from another Nordstrom in Chicago:thumbdown ) Quote:

I would not trust Ebay (as I have been burned before with this kind of thing) I Would only buy if it comes with authenticity money-back guarantee. |
