| No more Haruka at work Well... Executive director at my work is leaving... so current two directors of different programs will become co-executive directors in a week. So current executive director always has been very supportive of me bringing Haruka. Things will be changed. I was told at supervision that I couldn't bring Haruka to work... Then she knows that she will be registered at Delta as a therapy dog, so she was trying to be careful on wording. I am still waiting on registration from Delta society.. Then I could only bring her with a plan (work plan for Haruka) and it would be once a week. This director has been great but likes to micro-manage. Well.. I understand her concern but I am very sad that I have to leave Haruka at home. I bet she would have relaxing time at home though.. So I am trying to think positive. This might be a good opportunity for me to stop staying at work so late... but definitely sad sad sad.

| Bummer. Maybe once the power trip wears off your new boss will lighten up.

| Well, at least you'll still be able to bring her one day a week on with a therapy plan. I'm sure you will miss her on the days she isn't with you, but hopefully she will enjoy her "alone" time. Hugs to both of you!!!!

| I'm sorry to hear that. I've always been so jealous that you get to take her to work with you. Did she say what the reason was? Maybe she will change her mind when she sees that you can't put in as many hours without her there with you. It seems to me that Haruka is able to help a lot of people. Its a shame for everyone.

| I'm sorry to hear this too! I bet once your boss sees that you can't stay as late because you have to leave to get home to your furbutts, they might let you continue to bring Haruka with you to work. It's too bad this is happening-therapy dogs can really help people, and it's a shame that they are standing in the way of the great things Haruka is able to do for them. Hopefully her work will not go unnoticed, and things will turn around so she is able to join you at work.

| Some people aren't animal people, and therefore don't understand what it means to have your baby with you. I'm sorry this is happening to you.

| That's a shame. It must have been wonderful to have her with you at work. Maybe once she meets Haruka, she'll change her mind. She's such a little angel. Good luck with this.

| Oh, I'm so sorry for you. I too went thru a change from my employer that affected my furbabies. When I adopted them I worked from home -- I probably would never have taken them in if I didn't. Then 2 yrs ago, they changed my job & said I needed to work in the office. I hate to leave in the morning to go to work -- especially on nice days, as Roxie would love to be outside all day if I was home. It's hard to get out the door in the morning because we have to have some loving time -- but it is a real motivator to come home after 8 hrs. And I hate if I need to run errands after work - I try to stop home 1st so they can run & play & love 'em up before I run the errands or take them with me when I can. Work hard while you are there, so you don't have to stay one minute longer than absolutely necessary!! She'll be waiting for you with a waggy tail
