I say that Joy, if you are here (and we all know you are) - please, FOR ONCE....do the right thing and be honest about everything. ADMIT that you wronged Panama. I'm SURE that if you were to come out RIGHT NOW and be honest and say that NO, you never actually paid for Melody/Jesamine - this whole thing could be over without any legal action being involved. In fact, I'm almost positive of it. Joy - I know you "THINK" (and feel) that Jesamine is yours, but she ISN'T. And she isn't yours because you never paid for her.

I don't know why you chose all this for yourself Joy. You could of had many, many friends here - myself included, if you would have just been an HONEST person.

If I were you, I would SERIOUSLY get that baby back to Panama, and fast. Even if you don't want to speak to anyone, thats fine - I mean, whatever....you KNOW Panama's address - get that baby back on a plane and home to Panama where she belongs and avoid messing your whole life up as far as this goes legally. I mean, why risk anything Joy? You can only "run" and avoid people for so long - but that isn't going to work forever. Someone, or the law, IS going to catch up with you. Make no mistake about that. It is only a matter of time - which you might be running out of quicker than you know.

You can only play people for a fool for so long, but eventually you WILL be caught and all of this is going to come back and bite you in the butt.

God she never did because I don't want Melody in her hands, between her nana dying from cancer, her dad died car accident, her sister gestational diabetes, and she been sick because I have a email from her saying that she was sick, and her mother breast cancer, yeah she told me that her mother had breast cancer and came back again:( and here was me believing everything:( because at my age I have several lumps but thank God they aren't malignant, and my aunt has batleling breast cancer for so many years she lost one breast, and most of my grandmother side of my family have a batlle cancerin some way, and my mother and my aunt have diabete, sudenly her mom have breast cancer too and her sister have gestational diabetes, I know that a lot pregnant womans get stational diabetes too, and breast cancer is % is very high, that is why I believe her:( I do hope that her mom is ok and so her sister, I do feel for her family more than anything:(

I just wanted to mention this so that no one would be concerned about "Joy" hurting her dogs. I don't think that she has Munchausen Syndrome or Munchausen by proxy for a variety of reasons that I won't go into. She feigned illness so that Panama would stop trying to get the puppy back and would not take legal action.

I have no doubt however that she does suffer from a personality disorder. From the posts she made and what I know of the personal interactions she had with others, I think it possible that she has antisocial personality disorder (previously called psychopathic and sociopathic personality disorder). When dealing with someone like this, it always works to your benefit if you know why they act the way they do and I think this could explain the reason behind her behavior. And of course, I just want to stress that this is just an educated guess.

Key features of this disorder are deceitfulness and manipulation. According to the DSM-IV, the criteria for the diagnosis of antisocial personality disorder is a persistent pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others occurring since age 15, as indicated by three (or more) of the following:

*failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest
*deceitfulness, as indicated by repeated lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure
*impulsivity or failure to plan ahead
*irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults
*reckless disregard for safety of self or others
*consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain steady work or honor financial obligations

And if she is reading this, then all the better, maybe then she will seek help.

So her mom has breast cancer, her sister has diabetes, her nana also has cancer and is dying, her dad got in a car accident and so did she......she said all of this and i find it all very hard to believe. I already know her nana is alive but seriously what kind of person can even make up those lies about their family? I would never say something like that about my family if it weren't true

Exactly. It is all just WAY too far fetched. Every SINGLE ONE of my grandparents (except for my dad's dad, who is still alive) has died of Cancer, and for someone to just make up lies about people in their family having this and dieing from it is just downright sick. Also, I have had several friends that have been killed in car wrecks and it is NOTHING to joke about. It is very sad that someone would say these things about people they know (and hopefully LOVE) and them not even be true. I mean, HOW COULD YOU? :cry: Can you even IMAGINE how a grandmother would feel if she knew her own grand daughter was saying these things about her? Just so very sad. I don't know how Joy can look these people in the face and be at peace with herself, and be "OK" with herself over what she has said and done. It just makes absolutely no sense to me what so ever.

I just hope and pray Joy that wherever you are, if you TRULY DO have a REAL problem with lying (which I very strongly believe you do) that you are strong enough to at least get the help that you do so desperately need. You just can't go through life treating people like this.

Joy, read this and think about it really hard. You might want to consider the ramifications you could face for a theft of this magnitude. To you it is a dog. To the law it is theft of a $1200 worth of property. Really think about that. Give her her dog back- I know you don't want to have to deal with the consequences and a record that will follow you for life.

I don't think she cares. I don't think she cares about anything or anyone except herself. That is why I believe the police needs to be involved because no one is going to make her feel bad about this because it is not in her to feel bad for anyone else. I think she needs to go to jail and when the police find out about everything else she has done on here to others and who knows who else in the world then she will be in big trouble. So Joy if you don't want to be in BIG trouble I think you should give the lady her dog back. If you just give the dog back I am sure that she and everyone else on here will forget about everything.

I forgot to mention this earlier, but a few months ago I bought something on ebay and the lady never sent it to me. She did this to a few others and she is now in jail for internet fraud. The total that she stole only added up to about $700 or so which is alot less than what Melody is worth. I really think you have a case and she is putting herself at risk for some jail time.

LOL...Ya THINK???:D (No offense...but when I read her profile while she was a member, the thought went thru my head "yeah, right; she's 19, has her master's, going for her Ph.D and designs jewelry and is a personal fitness trainer"....I don't THINK so!"..AND she's got 2 (or 3) little dogs that she constantly dressed and took photos of (which I thoroughly enjoyed) and took care of...where would she have the time to do all that? Along with being a poor speller....and no offense to those who are not good spellers, but when you spell "doctorate" incorrectly when you're working toward one, it makes one think about your level of education.
I was totally totally taken in by her other than that stuff though, I have to say, and spent more nights awake with worry over her condition than I'd like to admit.


I always thought the entire situation was strange in the aftermath, but now, knowing that she had essentially stolen the dog from someone, and was making up all this stuff to make it appear that these things were happening to her so she wouldn't have to pay you, things seem much clearer. It kind of makes all those puzzle pieces fit together now. I find her original post about getting "Jessamine" so shocking and bold, knowing now the true situation! Wow, I was completley won over by her posts and how genuinely sweet she seemed!

I'm so sorry that this happened to you, Panama, and I sincerely hope you can get your dog back. It does appear though, that Joy (or whatever her name is) DOES take good care of her dogs, so at least you can have some peace about that. I just wish that she'd own up to the mistakes she's made and do the right thing. I hope the people here are able to help you and that Melody comes home to you healthy and happy!
