| Need help quick Okay, so Autumns breeder brought over a yorkie female for me to look at. She is 6 months old has already been spayed. She had a hernia that was fixed. She us utd on her shots but her ears are not up and she has an overbite. She told me to make her an offer if I wanted her. She does seem sweet so far. The overbite is freaking me out though! What do I do? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If you're freaked out, I wouldn't do it. Buy a pup when/if you fall in love with it. I hear doubt, so I just don't know if you reaaaaaaalllly want this pup....

| Are you afraid the over bite will effect her quality of life, or do you just not like the way it looks? I don't believe, but I'm not an expert that it will effect her quality of life. If you're not sure I would think it over for a while. If it's meant to be, you'll get her, and if not one will come along that you'll be crazy about.

| Do what your heart tells you. You don't want to have to rehome later. |

| She is very sweet, the breeder wants her to have a good home. Its really not about the money for her. She said make me an offer and I said $500 and she said okay. What would you do. Will the overbite effect her eating? |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Could you take her to your vet for an opinion on the bite? Then if you got the all clear decide if you really want her.

| Now that I can catch my breath, I think I was overwhelmed today. Both my kids had LOTS of homework and then the breeder dropped of her dog. It was a lot at once. I was trying to give everything my attention at once. She was spayed when she had her hernia operation. She does have an overbite but it does not seem to affect her ability to eat. She is definitely going to be bigger then Autumn - she is probably already 5 -5 1/2lbs. She is almost 6 months. Autumn really liked her (although I never knew that female dogs hump other female dogs - dont laugh, never knew that) and my kids enjoyed her as well. She only wants $500 for her she knows that she is not show quality - she just wants her to have a good loving home. I was just not ready to keep her tonight - I need to get puppy stuff and another crate. For whatever reason the overbite bothered me. Is it really a big deal? sorry for babbling on! Thanks for the help |

| If you was breeding her then The overbite would be a problem. But your not getting her to breed and Im sure we would be a great pet. I would get her. |

| Not fully housebroken. When I went to drop her off w/her breeder she came running to the door and tried to leave w/me! She just looked at me w/these endearing eyes. My heart tells me to take her and give her a good home but I am one of those that always second guess things. I did when I got Autumn and I dont regret her for a second. Its kind of like having another baby, part of you worries that you will not be able to love another dog like you do your first. Does that sound crazy! |

| As you have learned, love does not come instantaneously. The new little girl sounds like she has picked "you" and if your kids and Autumn love her and she loves them, then I say it's a perfect match and you will end up loving her just as much as you do Autumn. You would not believe how many dogs have either an under bite or over bite. My Azrael has such a big gap on her overbite I call her Buggs. She has no problem eating at all and no one even knows she has one since it doesn't show. I know your new little girl is going to work out perfectly, and she needs a loving home with those who love and accept her as she is. |
