How do you store Your things? I am looking for ideas on how to store the boys' clothes, bows, brushes etc. Suprisingly, we have got a pretty good collection started. I am trying to figure out the best way to store/keep them. We have clothes, bows, clips, brushes, scissors, you name it. And with our little girl coming eventually. I really need to get organized. Would love to hear your ideas and even see pics if possible? |
Lacy has her own closet in the downstairs bedroom right now since I currently only have one roommate instead of two. I don't know what I'll do if another person moves in... she has so much stuff!!! Before that, I had an armoire for her clothes but she outgrew that. |
I store Madeleine's clothes in clear bins, seperated by type of clothing. I keep her barrettes and hair things organized in a tackle box, it is perfect because it has little compartments for all her liitle hair things as well as room for her brush, etc. I don't have a lot of extra space in my house so this is really the best solution for now, though I would love for her to one day have her own closet! |
Thank You for your replies. We have an empty closet in Hubby's office that he said I could use. I was thinking of looking for a little dresser to put in the closet and checking into some hangers to hang some things. Does anyone know if the pet hangers are the same size as the baby hangers? |
i use infant hangers from target 10 for like 89cents |
I have some plastic tubs that I keep under my bed, that I store there things in:) |
I have the clear plastic storage bins that fit under the bed. All four of them. LOL |
4 Attachment(s) My favorite hangers are from amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Teafco-Cleo-Cl...1184529&sr=8-2 I get my bow boxes from Joann's. They are a heavy plastic and I like the fact that they are see through. I made an armoire for Lady's clothes from Closetmaid components from Lowe's. The top is actually supposed to have shelves, but I added two PVC poles instead. I keep out out of season clothes in the baskets. Yes, I know I have a serious dog clothes addiction! |
The hobby supply stores carry the clear plastic boxes with tiny compartments for bows and others for larger items. Very inexpensive too. |

:dribble: OMG! What a wardrobe! You are very organized. I definitely need to head to Joann's to pick up some of those clear trays. If you ever decide to sell some of your old clothes, PLEASE let me know.:D |
Lady is almost twelve so I've had a long time to collect clothes! And I make all her bows..... That's my story and I'm sticking to it! ;) |

What great ideas you've had for storing the clothes, bows and other items. What is that you have the brushes in? It looks so handy. |

I was going paint an armoire i have for them but that didn't happen cause all together they just have too much clothes for it all to fit in , its not that big. So right now i keep their clothes, grooming acc., bows, shoes, products in my big closet, it has a lot of shelves. |

How many hangers come in one set for 6.99? |
I only have two t-shirts for my dogs...pathetic eh? lol...the toys are in a rubbermaid container and brushes and such are kept in an old train case my Mom has had since the 60's its so retro and fun!! Dawn |
Martha Stewart has some nice hangers for infant clothes at K mart that I use. I believe there $1.99 or so for six. They were on clearance the last couple of times I bought them so I'm not sure if they are getting rid of them or not. |
Ladymom, She's spoiled rotten but I love it. I have a little closet for Kamari that I got from collectionetc. Kodaks clothes are in a bin I got from Walmart, and her bows and necklaces are in a plastic shoe box.:) |

A dozen for $6.99 plus free shipping with a $25 order. These hangers are the best I've found because they are nice and heavy, not flimsy and bendy. |
4 Attachment(s) This is Lacy's closet. It was hard to take pictures because of the way the closet is set up. The first picture is kindof looking to the left through the door, and the second picture shows the left side of the closet. Those are all her dresses hanging up. The boxes stacked up are her Hip Doggie Ballerina Tutus (we collect every style that comes out), and above the dresses are her carriers. The third picture is the right side of the closet. These are all her t-shirts and tanks. The fourth picture is the armoire I used to put all her clothes in. I have her sweaters stacked up in there and collars hung up. Her crystal collars are on top of the airmoir as is the box I keep all her bows in. I need a new, bigger box box though! |
Tilly has her own cabinet in our utility room. It needs sorted through though, she has way to much stuff! LOL |
