| Veterinary Help Needed Please We are reviewing Chewys vet file and we have some questions. 1. How big is a typical 4lb dogs lungs? Bacterial pneumonia is considered most likely to although other infectious disease processes are also possible. The anatomic distribution of the lesion does not suggest aspiration etiology. Worsening cough could be due to non-bacterial disease, and the amount of pathology currently visible in the right caudal lung field is rather minimal. An adjustment in medication to Clavamox may be warranted if current medication alon is considered unsatisfactory. Base on what i read above i take this to mean that the radiology report did not deem this to be a "critical" situation at the time of reviewing his xray.It appears that the diagnosis for the ailment was prescribed a stronger antibiotic (in this case clavamox) and a procedure such as a trans tracheal wash was a unnecessary risk to Chewy. Is this logic found? Please help...... Last edited by blykmyk44; 06-23-2005 at 07:26 PM. |
