I have gotten a few dogs that were 8 months and older and they adjust very easily. I would think if he was going to change color you would start to see a light almost gray coloring coming thru that black. I am partial to the black and golds too. |
She is very pretty. I would have fallen in love also. My first yorkie "Duke" was very dark. He was killed at 11 months and had never lost that dark black coat. Good luck on Friday. I know the waiting is so hard. Dawn |
Sorry Sorry to hear that. That is so sad. My breeder seems to think she will stay black so I can just hope. But by the time it changes I will be in love with her so I guess it makes no difference. I am thinking about getting a bicycle and basket for her hahaha...after reading another thread! |
She is beautiful. Both Pixie and Cali have stayed black. They are 21 months and 27 months so I thin they will stay dark. My guess is that yours will stay pretty dark if not black. I also got Pixie at 13 months and she bonded with me immediatley and with my 2 other dogs. Housebreaking at 13 months has been challenging. She was in a large pen so never had any potty training. SHe did not do well with pee pads but in the past month has trained herself to go outside like my Pom so Iam thrilled. At 8 months she should be easier to train. Congratulatons |
Sugar is gorgeous!! Congratulations!!!! I bet you are just sooo exited right now! Can't wait to see more pics once you get her!:) |
She is so beautiful and I love her name! You must be on pins and needles right now :)! |
Ahhh! Yeah I am going crazy....and today is greys anatomy...which also has me on pins and needles! |
2 Attachment(s) NewYorkieMom, My Diva is 1 1/2 years old and has kept most of her black with a little of the silver which I also like...however, I recently got another baby girl, Foxxy, who's colors seem to be the same as Diva's at that age...not changing too much too soon but I do notice a little more of the blue coming out of her on her back now so only time will tell. I saw an earlier thread as well and would like to know your breeder also. I'm hoping to get another some time in the near future and I see you're in Virginia...it's hard to find good breeders locally and I too love your babies look. I work in Vienna, va. If you don't mind, where can I research or find out more about your breeder and what his breeding program is like (future litters, etc.)? thanks :aimeeyork Yolanda:aimeeyork :animal-pa Diva & :animal-pa Foxxy |
My Azrael is that color with a thick cotton coat. Have you thought about grooming her yourself. It's not so traumatic on them. Congratulations on getting such a beautiful girl. I'd give anything to have one exactly like her. :D |
email Just send me your email address and I will forward it to him. On a recent post he said he had 4 available so he must now have 3....I am guessing. But I dont think they are as dark but they are very very beautiful from very very good pedigrees. |
awe she is a doll. I bet you arent sleeping very well, its hard to wait. |
Sleep I think I will take a tylenol PM and conk out after greys anatomy....because tomorrow I will want to play with her all day! |
She is a beauty !! Enjoy the day and take lots of pictures. |

nervous Its so weird that I am nervous too...I dont know why....I just feel like I am getting a baby or something...you know like its sooo delicate and being trusted to me. I tell ya, I bought this little playpen to keep her in during the day so she is out of everything while I am at work...My neighbor is all set up to walk it once a day for me while I work too. I think I am going to get off early all of next week! hahaha! |
