I hate the stupid groomer :mad: I wasn't sure if I should take Hannah to him or not.. we knew him , my husband knows his wife well .. so I thought he would be good.. well.. gee I even gave him pictures of what I wanted Hannah to look like.. how hard can it be when you have pictures to go by ?? I could of killed him... my poor baby is shaved now.. he had the excuse of " well she had too many mats on her bellie ".. that's nothing but crap.. Hannah didn't even have much hair on her bellie to mat on her. He just got razor happy. He only charged me $25.. I really don't know why I paid him.. I will be taking my poor little girl to the breeder that we got Summerlyn from next time. I should of done my homework and asked around first I guess.. my stupidity. It's funny though.. she looks like a little Airesdale (spelling ?) now. I can still put a bow in her hair though.. that's a good thing. I will get some pics soon.. have to get the parents camera first...;) I guess we learn the hard way sometimes..or we just get too rushed.. How long does it take for their hair to grow back ? Does it grow at the same rate as ours ? |
Oi...sorry to hear about your bad experience. Everyones hair grows at a different rate, but think of it this way its an excuse to buy her more coats and sweaters:D |
Hi! I can relate! We've only had our puppy groomed twice (she's only 7 months old and she was a little sick so she hasn't had much chance) but the second time...I told them to keep her bangs because her hair kept getting stuck in her mouth when she didn't have a bow (and my other dog always eats the bow if i leave it in)....weeeell they cut her whole head short! I was so sad...but it's growing in a little and hopefully it'll start to look normal with a bow in it soon...poor Roo! And if she's anything like my pup it shouldn't take long for her to grow her hair back at all- mine got groomed 2 weeks ago and she's back to being a furball again and her top hairs even long enough to put a bow in it just has to be relatively far back! |
So sorry you went through that horrible experience....Why did you paid him? You were an unsatisfied customer and he did a bad job....:confused: |

3 Attachment(s) Thanks guys.. Hannah is 9 months old and this was her first grooming experience , besides me bathing her and drying her.. I didn't want to pay him.. but yes.. since we knew him.. some what.. I did feel uncomfortable to say I wasn't going to.. I will just let others know what he did to our dog. Will her hair start to grow in just a couple of weeks ? I hope so. The only thing I do like about it , is that she is so soft.. easy to care for.. but I want her coat to look like this.. Hope Koda's mommy on here doesn't mind me posting her pics.. this is what I took to the groomer for him to follow.. my Hannah is suppose to look like Koda.. |
awwwww she is very cute!!! Don't worry, I'm sure she doesn't mind the short hair!! She is still a cutie pie!!! I do understand your feeling. My Momiji got hair cut and it is bit shorter than I expected and my parents said she isn't pretty any more!!! :eek: Buuut I think she is still my cutie pie and hair will grow back. (well won't it?? :D ) Look on the bright side, it is so much easier to groom each day!!! |
what does your pup look like now? i would think her hair would start growing in sooner than a couple of weeks- you should see a difference in a week though it could take months to grow in completely...exactly how shaved is she? |

I'm glad that I was able to use Koda's pictures.. you had posted them on here in another post for me to see her cut. I will continue to use them when her hair grows out again. With another groomer of course. |

That's why I always hate "hiring" anyone with whom I have any relationship (direct or indirect) for anything (grooming, plumbing, etc.). If it's not what you expect or you don't like it, it's always so uncomfortable. But I'm sure she's still adorable!! |
Iam sorry you had such a bad experience:( what is it with these groomers who just dont listen:mad: karleigh has an appt for thursday, but i have been taking her there since she was a baby, she is almost 3 now, this will be her last trim before winter, and i say trim not shaved, she will grow back thats the good thing:) Im sure she is still as cute as ever:D |
I think Hannah looks very cute with her new haircut! She looks neat and trimmed, and her hair will grow back before you know it! I bet she feels better and feels cooler. |
I wish people would bring me a picture of the doggie cut they want. It is very hard to figure out. I try to leave them longer then what they say..You can always cut of more..Her hair will grow back ..about xmas time she will be the lentgh you wanted..make sure youn take picture to show your next groomer. Hey bring her to me...in Michigan... P.S. Her hair looks beatuiful long...and very well taken care off... |

Hannah is so beautiful in her before pic!!!.....I totally understand your being disappointed/upset on her new cut.... The bright spot is is that it WILL grow back in.....patience :) |

I was in your same place 1 yr ago. Carson had just turned 1 and I wanted him "trimed" for the YTNR Ball. His hair was almost to the ground and i hought I had given our groomer of 10 yrs specific instructions on just to give him a "trim" When I picked him up she said "Carson has curls " I couldn't imagine what she meant. Then I saw him. He was cut so short like your baby. i was speechless, paid the bill and left with Carson. About 2 weeks later, it finally hit me. He looked adorable with his short hair cut , needless to say how easy to bath and brush he was. Well its been over a year now since his first hair cut and I am finding my self taking him back every three months o keep up his adorable hair cut. Many people in this group have seen my Carson and have all comented on how cute his haircut is. My only prayer for your baby in a few weeks you also will love her short new hair cut. I think she is adorable !! Keep in touch. Janie |
