Princess & Katie love to get dressed. But then they are girls. Poncho our chihuahua he's a different story. But when it gets cold, and he needs to put on a sweater. I started in September putting it on for just a few minutes a day, then I would take him for short walks and come home and take it off. Now he see his sweater's and has no problem putting them on;) So maybe if you try for a few minuets a day, so he can get used to it. It's kind of funny the first time they get dressed because they think they can't move, but they can;) Good luck to ya!:) :) :) |
I should take a picture of Max in clothes. He freezes, puts his head down and won't move. He really looks tragic! He does wear his 2 winter jackets. They're not bulky. I don't know about Gracie Leigh yet. I'm going to put Max's hoody on her later to see how she looks in it. She's just too young to go and spend money on a coat that fits while she's growing so quickly. I may use Max's black hoody from last year and decorate it with red girlie stuff. I'll think of something. I'd like to get her a red coach collar and leash. Max has them in black. I got his on eBay, but you have to be so careful there with Coach. Wait until you see pictures of Max's new hoody! It's going to be custom made by one of our own talented couturiers. I can't wait! |
Koda loves clothes, I got her used 2 from the very first start...My friends yorkie gets dressed and it's so funny to just see her stand there and not move...She freezes!!!:aimeeyork It's the best way to she that little one calm |
Jake hates clothes. If I put them on him, he takes them right back off. So, most of the time I don't bother. He is really good about leaving his harness vest on, but I think that's because he knows he gets to go outside. |
My boys hate clothing and topknots! I finally gave up, I have eyebrows cut and well, they freeze when they go out. but its only for a quick minute when its that cold anyways, but yeah, they refuse to wear them! Im sure your little guy will be fine for 5 mins to go out pee without a sweater, I just wouldnt leave him out there for long at all! My boys LOVE snow! They are funny! But their little paws get freezing! I can't see them wearing boots though especially when they wont even wear a sweater! hahaha :) good luck with getting him used to it though! |
Clothes yes:) Bows NO way:( I started mine very early with clothes and now they all line up to see who is wearing what;) Keep tying he will get use to them:p |
Otis isn't crazy about it, but he puts up with it cause it usually means we're going "bye bye". Oliver - no way, he walks all funny for about 30 minutes. |
Both Barney and Bennie have no problem with clothes.....Or rather I should say shirts. I have been putting shirts on both of them for the last month...I wanted to get them used to them before it started getting cooler here. Now their hair is another story.....I am still working on that. We are getting better though. They left their hair up today for about an hour or so. |
nathan gets excited when he sees a shirt or something come out because he knows he is going for a ride!!!! He even tries to put his head in the shirt for me!!!:D I guess to speed up the process..and I too have been putting clothes on him from the moment that i could find something that fit him..At almost 1 yrs old its sometimes still hard when he is a huge 3 pounds!!!:D |
Phoebe and Shayna loves clothes:aimeeyork :aimeeyork |
All my furbabies have loved wearing clothes, and I so love to shop for them. I love the Ralph Lauren clothes for them. I have not tried pj's though. What a good excuse to buy something. |
I have been dressing Jasper since he was a baby,he still wiggles out of the outfit within 5 minutes!ugh |
Wes hates clothes and freezes when I put them on him. He refuses to move. Maddie isn't crazy about me putting them on her, but she doesn't mind them once they're on. |
Max & Mindee love dressing up. They get so excited when I open their closet for the pick of the day. They are always wearing something. Not sure if anyone has actually seen them naked. lol I had made clothes for my babies before I actually got them so they were dressed up from the day they came home. My sister's yorkie hated getting clothes on and would do the "freeze" thing. She just kept trying different things, (shirt, dress, pj's) and she doesn't mind any of those now, but will not wear anything bulky like a coat or a bathrobe. Maybe just keep trying for short periods of time. |
My shakespeare doesn't mind I think because he is force to:rolleyes: . I know he doen't like it because you could see it in his face like... Oh my goodness.... here we go again ... I have to wear this stupid outfit.... oh well..... :D I can't help it I love shopping for him...:D |
