I always wanted to know why do they sometimes dq certain colors when they can easily accept all colors in that breed. What is the point? (I'm talking about all breeds) |

Let me tell you all. I had an email from Shannette and then a long phone conversation and at no time was I told she was the only dog in the ring. I was told of Carmella's 2nd place ribbon. I was terribly excited and wanted to share with everyone, especially all the breeders out there who want to breed the unique colors. I found out long into the afternoon, after reading it on this thread. I am still very proud of my dogs and as far as I am concerned they all have purple ribbons! I can appreciate that the show breeders want to preserve the Yorkie standards and really feel I know where they are coming from as far as hard work to attain what they now have that they have worked so hard for. But I will at no point stand still for my Chocolate Yorkies not being called Yorkies. Think of your favorite dogs and how much you love and care for them and it is your life, your entire life and try to realize that it is mine too and I will defend it as the show breeders and anyone else who loves their dogs do. And YG2 you can take your ulterior motives comment and your vendetta and maybe you can stick it in some threatening PM. My news had me on "Chocolate cloud nine" as one of my friends put it in an email. I am sure the show breeders have felt that "high". What in the world is wrong with that? I would never want to not have the blue/gold or blue/tan yorkies and think it is a shame that black/gold is going to be dq in the near future. But I hope at some point maybe there will be a specialty class for the unique colors. I hope also that show breeders realize that I am totally for what they are about in the show ring. I just happened to develop the passion for Chocolates and aquired a non-related pair and I intend to breed them and I will not argue this point, as I have told you in the past. I posted this thread so very happy, knowing many would try to burst my bubble, but it cannot be done, because that ribbon is not JUST what it is about. I am sure many of you have the same feeling at times about your dogs. A Yorkie is a Yorkie and these unique colors are very much appreciated and people love unique, whether it be Parti or Chocolate or whatever. Shannette should be commended by all for such inovative thinking and for sticking to her guns. Wish you would also tell what the 3 judges said to you as they called to back to the ring just before the end of the show when you were sitting ringside. |
biewers I dont believe for one minute that a parti miraculously(sp) appeared out of generations of standard colored yorkies without the intoduction of another breed with parti genes.(shih-tzu, papillon, maltise) Didnt the Biewers breed for over 10 years before introducing this "new"breed to the world? Were any DNA samples taken while the Biewers were creating this new breed? I dont know much about them except from what I have read. And I am not trying to insult the Biewer breeders who are trying hard. So far they are not even recognized by the German Kennel Club. But, time will tell. I am just a little skeptical. |

I do not appreciate these accusations. THEY ARE NOT TRUE. I HAVE NOT EVER USED YT TO ADVERTISE MY DOGS. I SIMPLY PUT UP THE PIX TO SHARE THEM AND LIKED BEING A PART OF SOMETHING I COULD SHARE WITH EVERYONE ELSE. I PAY FOR ADVERTISING IN SEVERAL PLACES AND ALSO HAVE A WEBSITE AND HAVE NEVER NEEDED YT TO SELL ONE OF MY BEAUTIFUL CHOCOLATE OR TINY YORKIES. I ALSO HAVE NOT EVER USED THE TERM RARE TO SELL THEM. I had a busy day and was on for a few minutes and too tired to read through all this until now. After all, how many of you stay on here 24/7? |

I'm only an owner (not an offended one ;) ) of a Biewer. I don't know if they were mixed with another breed. Some people think they must have been, some are sure they weren't. To be honest, it doesn't make a difference to me. Isn't that exactly how yorkies were created? They are here now, with their own standard, and they are not going anywhere. I see the akc accepting them. They are going to be too popular not to be. I'm just pointing out it is not as impossible as people seem (or maybe want) to think. The chocolates could be next. |
I think a lot of you should be raising PIT BULLS, as I have heard they turn on people. |
nice post Thanks, itspuppyluv for the nice post. You Biewer breeders have a very nice start and looks like a good breeding program going.. I dont like them called Biewer Yorkshire Terriers. I am just skeptical of the origins, kind of like spontaneouss combustion!!LOL I noticed that in one of the many Biewer clubs, they are called rare. I'm just a dyed in the wool blue and tan girl!!!!!LOL Biewers dont appeal to me and I think that chocolate yorkies are butt ugly. All facial expression is lost because of the lack of pigment(amber eyes, pink nose and eye rims). Ok, nuff said from the skeptic tank!!!! |
pit bulls Hmmmmmmm I think thats something that Maxine would say!!!!!!!!!!!LOL |
First of all I always stay out of these type of threads. But frankly I am shocked at this thread!! I am soooo disappointed in YT right now. It is threads like these that are hurting YT. The OP came on here to show off a yorkie from her litter and how it did in the show ring. There is NO REASON why this thread should have turned ugly. If you have a debate about a cholocate yorkie start another thread or pm the poster if you like. I know there are two sides here and everyone here is very passionate about the breed. But why insult or bash each other (which is exactly what this thread has come to). If you disagree with chocolates start another thread or pm the poster. This thread was not started to stir up debates. The poster did not say come spar with me. Let the thread be what it is. Which in the beginning was a post about a beautiful chocolate yorkie and a proud owner and breeder. To come on here and make insulting comments is just plain rude and doing no good. Things started off okay. But then as usual everyone got defensive which just led to clawing and battering. I applaud those who handled themselves in a calm and respectable way in this thread.:clapsmile But not everyone was like this. Surely everyone is capable of voicing their opinions without being rude, insulting or resorting to name calling. But this didn't happen. To Original Poster: I am sorry this thread has turned this way. There is no reason why it should have gotten ugly. It would be like someone insulting one of my babies and calling them ugly after I posted some pictures of them. I am sorry you couldn't post pictures of a beautiful yorkie from your previous litter without getting such bad responses. I thought YT was better than that, I guess I was wrong.:( I hope you do stay on YT and continue to post pictures of your beautiful yorkies. Good luck with them. And I hope YT can get past this and that everyone can just agree to disagree rather than handling it like this thread was. ADMINISTRATOR: Please close this thread, this has brought nothing good to YT. It is a shame it has come to this. |
