Hair Question 1 Attachment(s) Hello Everyone, I am new here. I have a question about hair. I have a 22 month old yorkie who's hair seem to break around her face and feet. Any suggestions of what could help. Is it food, vitamins, or is it just Lucy? |
hi, welcome to YT! what kind of coat does she have? it looks wirey in the pic. has it always been like this or is this just a recent change? what kind of food does she eat? is she scratching in these hair loss areas? |
It looks to me like she has a coarse coat which will break off easily and grow a lot slower. My Lacy has a silky coat but it's coarser than it should be and her hair grows really slow |
thank you for answering. Her hair does tend to be coarse. I used to feed her science diet but changed to Nutro Skin and Coat and have noticed some improvement. It does break where she rubs her face on the carpet, but that is the only scratching she is doing. |
Missing link work well with the coat, maybe you can try that, I use sometimes and Phoebe coat grows like crazy, hope this help:aimeeyork |
Where do you get Missing Link? |
I would suggest a better food too, like Canidae.:) |

Ava, Lucy and Pebbles... Best Friends Ava thinks Lucy is perfect. She looks like a perfect best friend.:D because she knows how to drive and take her and Pebbles out shopping. And she doesn't even have to wear one of those pesky bows to go bye bye. |
lucy's hair Ava would think Lucy is great because they are such good friends. Lucy got her drivers"s license at the doggie motor vehicle department. |

I keep Harley\'s hair shaved down because he has real kinky hair that mats up real bad, so he doesn\'t have the long flowing hair either. I think she is a sweetie! |
I think that she may be a red legged yorkie. I have one also and he is the sweetest. Do a search on here to learn more about red legs. I guess there isn\'t any info on them on the internet but several threads here in regards to this type of yorkie. |
