I swear I've never met a cat owner that admits their cat is fat! It's like their cat won't allow their owners to say it or something.. :P |
my cat is a porker!!!! :o ..... but in all fairness she gets fat in winter so she can stay warm and she gets slimmer in summer so she can stay cooler (shes mostly an outdoor cat since i developed allergies ....lol..... and she used teh fireplace as a litterbox, so she got kicked out)... but still, i think she will end up weighing more than toby, even when he is full grown.... |
LOL I will admit my cat Ebony is FAT. I need to take a good picture of her to show her fatness one day. She's not as big as candies tho :) Ebony is 20 pounds last time I checked. Bradley, yeah he is just big, not fat. |
Hi, I have two yorkies, my female is 3 and my male just turned 1. I recently got greedy and added a third, a little male. My female was fine but my male actually got ill because he was so stressed. I was able to return the new one since I told them I was not sure it would work and they gave me 36 hours to try it. When I first added my male to the family, my female was fine. She knows she is the queen and I always make sure she never get's "second" treatment. I think two males may not be a good idea, but you never know. Yorkies have such unique personality traits, you would probably have to try it. Maybe take your little one to the breeder and see how he acts around both male and female. Either way, two is great fun, they truly love each other. I am gone during the day as well, and I feel better knowing they have each other. Good Luck, keep us posted |
Candy Girl is one BIG cat!! Love the sunglasses!! ;) |
Candy Girl makes me feel SLIM! |
Candy Girl makes me feel SLIM! We have a 13-year old Doodle (half Dachshund, half Poodle) named Pogo, who is the love of my life. A smart and well behaved darlin' who loves being a country dog and camper. One of the reasons we got Higgins was so Pogo could "mentor" him before he got too old. Well. Pogo hates other dogs and pets. He wants to be the ONLY one. He did NOT care for this newcomer to our lives who just wanted to play all the time. However, from the get-go, Pogo was VERY protective of the little guy, and he still is. Sort of "I think you're a pain in the butt, but you belong to us, so I will protect your stupid little self from other dogs and people." Pogo always gets between Higgins and any strange person or animal. And he has taught Higgins some manners. Yes, Higgins will bark at strangers and other dogs, but not for long......because Pogo NEVER (well, hardly ever) barks at all. Which amazes me because he comes from two yappy breeds. So, we have a "relatively" quiet Yorkie. Except when we leave them and they BOTH howl! They will also both howl a duet when I play the harmonica! Now we didn't think they really liked each other. They engage in a lot of Alpha Dog challenges. BUT when they are apart, at the vet's or the groomers, for instance, the other one paces the house and when they are reunited you realize how much they love each other, as they happily romp and kiss each other. And it's fun watching Higgins take his every cue from Pogo......sniffs all the same places.....watches Pogo carefully when we are in strange places and does everything his big brother does.....cute...... Don says when Pogo dies, there will be no more dogs......but he said we couldn't have Higgins either......heh heh heh.......I already have a couple of names picked out.......sssshhhhhhh....... |
Mary Ellen!!!! Do we need to listen for the thump of new little paws?? A trio to accompany with your harmonica instead of a duet?? ;) |
I WISH! Not a chance right now, though. It will have to be after Pogo goes to the Rainbow Bridge. And I have to agree with Don....right now we don't have ROOM for another dog in this little Casita! He has so many electronics in here it looks like the cockpit of a B-52 with all the wires and blinking lights. We even have TWO computers in here. And he added surround sound yesterday. For those of you who are not familiar with a Casita trailer, it is a little molded fiberglass affair that measures 10 feet from front bathroom door to back wall. And we live in it for over 6 months a year! Bettyanne has a Casita, too, so she knows what I mean when I say it is SMALL! But I heard a rumor that Bettyanne has talked her Patrick into going all the way to BC in Canada to look at a Bigfoot trailer which has LOTS more room......and she'll get it, too......and then Don will HAVE to have one to keep up with Patrick.......so.....you go, girl! Get us both a bigger rig! Then we can both get more Yorikes, right? |
