Does your Yorkie kick his/her back legs? My 6-month old nico has started kicking his back legs (like a bull kick) when he gets really excited or if he is trying to chase his brother Bruin with a toy. Anyone notice a similar behavior on their yorkies?:animal36 |
My Malachi does it after he poops :D |
Rocky only does that when he pees outside |
Hi and Welcome!! Winstin does do that sometimes and hops like a bunny once in a while when playing. We would love to see pics of your baby.. |
my boys don't do it, but my little girl, Halo, does it all the time!:p |
Pixie does it all the time, when she's mad at the other two or real excited. We call it her moon walking. My husband keeps telling me to get it on tape. |
Cooper does this when he is playing too! He usually does it when he is trying to get our attention or to get Carley to wrestle with him. He will turn his back on us and look over his shoulder at us and bark and do the kicking thing. We call it the "Cooper Shuffle" We love it when he does this!! |
2 Attachment(s) both Bruin and Nico kick after they go #1/#2 outside, but when Nico kicks while playing, i can't help but laugh cause he thinks he can take on Bruin. So I take it that it is not a behavior issue, but a way to look tough in front of his older brother. In the pics, Bruin has a football in his mouth and I am holding Nico in the other. |
Cody does it when he comes in from pooping outside LOL and lately the last few days after he drinks water and eats he does it. its funny! |
My Sadie does this also, when one of the other dogs has something she wants she will scoot her butt into there face and kick her back legs. Its like she's saying hey it's my tun to chew on that, sometimes it works and sometime not, after all she is the baby and does get her way most of the time. |
No...but I bet that is a sight to behold! :p |
Welcome to YT!! Your Bruin and Nico are just beyond cute! I had to laugh when I read your question, because my little Mango does exactly the same thing, but it's usually when she's really excited about something, and she does this little "happy dance", bouncing around and then kicking out her back legs.... we call this the "Mango Tango".:woof: It has provided months of entertainment - we laugh every time we see it. Haha! Yes, I call it the "Moonwalk" LOL :) |
Our Gizmo does it...when he gets really excited OR when he gets mad at us. It ALWAYS cracks us up! |
Piper does it, and I can't help but laugh at him. He looks like a raging bull. |
i think i'll get some live footage of Nico doing the "Nico Suave" and post it here . . . :animal-pa |
Jake does it when he gets excited and sometimes when we're playing. He also kicks his legs when he's mad and throwing a tantrum lol. |
Murfee does it all the time especially when he is trying to get our attention. We call him a little bull 'cause he looks just like the bulls in the ring. We tell him to stop because he has done it so hard that little pieces of carpet have come up:eek: |
I call this move the "Michelle Kwan"! LOL! |
Yup, Chanel does it all the time, when she's happy, or mad... or ready to play with her imaginary friends... she does the "chicken dance" and makes funny noises while she's at it. |

Stedman will do this sometimes after he "does his business" outside :p And also after he tries to hump a toy - little perv  LOL |
Yes indeed..My Sissy does this all the time when she is playing or after a potty. Oh yea after she buirys something too. |
Haha, my Baxter (10 months) does it after he poops and is so proud of himself. I like to say he is strutting but I do like the "moonwalk" for a name. It cracks me up when they do this. |
Yorkie Kick-Back Hello There, My Yorkie boy, Sammy does that. Especially when he gets really excited and starts barking. To me, it is just sooooooo cute :aimeeyork |
Roxy does it all the time, but Remi never does (at least I've never seen him do it). |
Lola does this when she wants her way or really means business. She thinks it makes her look tough :) |
