hawks, owls, coyotes, big dogs, mini blinds Please dont let your small dogs out of your site outside.!! I live in Arizona, and there are plenty of predators out there that are not afraid of humans. Not far from me, a couple was walking there toy poodle on one of those extendo leashes. A coyote grabbed the dog not more then 5 feet from them and took off with it. I have had people who are looking for another puppy say there last one was picked up by an owl right off there back porch. When I was a child, we had a chihuahua. My mom and I were gardening and KIKI was about 4 feet away when a hawk swooped down and almost got her. I have had numerous people looking for a new pupppy say that theirs was killed by a big dog. I have known people devastated when their puppy drown in the swimming pool. And, one time my Samantha got stuck up in the mini blinds when I was outside. Lynn |
One of my bigger fears is that someone will step on Ruby. She isn't very big and most people don't walk around with their eyes on their feet. Here's a tip for those afraid of dropping pills on the floor. Store your meds in a drawer. Open the bottles and dispense the pills while keeping your hands over the open drawer. Any pill that accidently falls will go into the drawer, not the floor. |

I posted a while back about Kiley getting her head caught in the bottom of the recliner. I dont even recline them anymore for fear that will happen again and I wont be so lucky next time. Another poster stated the laundry thing. When I pull my sheet and blankets off of the bed to wash, the puppies like to go snuggle up in them and I have nightmares about picking up and load and throwing them in the washer and one of them being inside of the sheets. I also worry about them jumping on the window sills on the top floor of the house and falling through the screen of an open window. I dont like doors that automatically slam shut after you go through them because I am afraid one of the dogs will be following me out and get smashed by it. I have one like that in the garage. My dogs chew on cords and I am afraid they will get electrocuted. The casters on the chairs scare me also. I am afraid to run over them especially when I am on the pc and they sit right under me. Geez, the list goes on and on and on.............. |
OMG How scary! Well a danger that i've noticed is in my bf's building. He lives on the 5th floor and his staircase has an opening in the middle that goes all the way down to the 1st floor. If any of my babies, or humans were to fall down that they would not survive. I always have them on a leash when we pass by. It's a looong way down! |
Angel is a major chewer. She can chew thru a toy that is supposed to indestructable in a few seconds!! She also chews furniture, baskets, basically whatever she can get her little teeth into. So, I'm always worried if she will choke or get sick from something she had chewed up. Both my girls go nuts when there are squirrels in our yard (which is frequently). Because they will run after them (and have almost caught one) they go outside only in the x-pen. |
