This is to exciting. I will be sending picture block out on Friday or Saturday. I will mail it Priority. You should have by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. I can not wait to see it decorated.

Fabric came today from IluvLucy. It is a nice bolt of fabric! Perfect for the quilt. We need more YT members to get involved. Any of you have any ideas on how to make that happen????

I am going to be doing 2 picture blocks and one other block. Is there a certain color theme you would like for the picture blocks?? Or is it all going to be "what you see is what you get? I will be happy to do 4 blocks if that will help.

So far everyone is emailing me the pics for the blocks. That way they all match. I can pm you the fabric info I get that way you can do the same if you like. If you want to make two blocks (does not include picture ones) that would be great.

Yes, if you can get me the info. Actually I already bought the printable iron on fabric, but I can use it for something else if I need to send the pictures to you. I really don't mind doing them myself either. I have sewed for over 45 years and am computer literate as well as photoshop literate (lol.. ok mostly photoshop literate) and have done printables on t-shirts etc. It is up to you.
OH, I just figured out that you were saying you could pm me the info so I could get matching fabric. lol.. OK.. pm away!!

Two or three years ago, some ladies on the Bichon List got together and made a Bichon quilt. They sent a square to anyone who wanted one or you could make up your own. They all submitted the squares to a couple of gals who quilt and they put them together in a one-of-a-kind, really spectacular Bichon quilt. It was absolutely beautiful. Then we raffled it off. We raised thousands of dollars with it for Bichon Rescue. It's a great idea and the quilt would certainly be unique and wonderful! (The person who won the original raffle donated the quilt to another rescue group to raffle off again!)

Do we have a deadline on when we need the quilt squares done? I don't have any cute yorkie material around my hometown so I will need to make a trip to the nearest Johann's (1 hour away) or order some...so if there is a deadline, I would like to know so I can get a move on it! You know...a little inspiration to get the job done :D . I hope this works out as greatly as I can imagine!!!

I finally made my quilt block! I've had so much going on lately that it took me forever to get to it.

Ya'll will be so proud of me - I figured out how to put a picture on fabric! I'm so excited about it.

Also - I bought a raffle ticket to benefit a man with terminal cancer in a nearby town - I won a QUILT!! How about that:) This is the quilt - It has a fireman theme and the fireman's creed is embroidered around the border.

Sharon, did you ever recieve yyour squares? I purchased the same fabric they were using for the picture squares at Joannes online and did my own, but correct me if I am wrong, but I think most everyone was going to email thier photos to Winston07 to do

I sent 4 completed blocks (2 picture blocks and 2 non picture blocks) to Winston on Thursday so she should be getting them anytime now.

Really!! Where was I? I have at least 24 morning star blocks already made, If another one is ever thought to be made. I was wondering if you could cross-stitch you yorkie on your square, and their name and owners name, or a little comment. I will post pics of squares.

I haven't read the entire thread yet but have an idea...

What if you sell each block of the quilt? Let say $5 per block to get your baby's picture on that square? That should help with the cost of shipping or go toward the donation to the NPO.

I don't know how many square it takes to make a quilt but I'd buy a square. Then you can auction the quilt.

Actually, I would like to get this quilt done. However, I am in need of a lot more squares. Only a couple people sent me squares. Anyone interested. Then we can get it raffled like we planed.
I still need the pics that people were going to email also for me to make their square.

I had been wondering for mths and mths whatever happened with this project, I got busy, didn't do a square - and just thought I had missed out on even buying a raffle ticket. Let me know what I can do to get this project finished and get the word out!!

Maybe we need a new thread to grab people's attn!

Ive only read parts of this thread, and believe me you dont want me to sew, ha ha so what was decided? Is someone making squares for people like me who cant sew? I definately would buy a square and would buy raffle tickets for the quilt. This is such a cool idea.....

I am new (well kinda still) here, and I quilt. Well I should say I use to quilt alot. I haven't quilted in a long time but would be more than willing to quilt a square or two if needed. Just PM me and let me know. :D

Here's my recommendation. I suggest you start a new thread and be very specific about what you want people to do...colors, sizes, styles, etc... and when they need to be mailed by and who to contact.

Also, what is the ultimate purpose of the quilt? To raise money for charity? I really want to participate, but honestly don't want to wade through all of the posts.

This is a wonderful idea!! :thumbup:
