i use a ceramic bowl for food and this for water http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2751260&cp=2767032.2767070&fbn =Taxonomy%7CBowls+%26+Feeders&fbc=1&clickid=topnav _dropdown0_link3&parentPage=family&keepsr=1 which is pretty neat because if filters the water and also cools it, which is nice on a hot day in FL! lol |
Stainless here with the rubber at the bottom - and we have two sets - while one set is in dishwasher we have a clean set. They also fit in this stand we have too. Always change the water at least 2x a day. Stainess keeps the water cold longer, too.;) |
The one with the flowing cool water is nice! I already filter my water and boil them so no filter is needed but without the filter the water still flows right? So dogs prefer cold water huh? Just like me :D I planned to get ceramic ones since they are more colourful...usually, stainless steel looks a bit too plain for me, not that it really matters. Oh and what size should the bowls be for a 8 week old yorkie? |

I use ceramic , I bought the water bowl at the vet - hand painted with the head of a yorkie on the front - just HAD to buy it! also keeps the water cool here in sunny S.A. |
what kind of food bowl would you reccomend I think stainless steel with the rubber ring won. My frig has filtered water and ice, Tricksie loves crushed ice in her water, also, when I go to the frig to get ice for myself, she waits for some to hit the floor. |
I have cute ceramic doggie dishes, but they are just the right size for the stainless steel bowls to fit into. So that way the ceramic is heavy and holds them in place, but they are actually eating and drinking out of the stainless steel. |
I use the stainless ones with the rubber on the bottom too. The water stays cold for a long time in them. |
