				   | I had Harley chipped at 6 months when he was under for his neuter. Harley is one of those who cries when he see the shot coming, so I thought that I would save him some heartache! Jeri and Harley |

				   | ok. so its basically just a matter of when you want to. I just didnt know if they had to be a certain age to have it done.

				   | I had Suri microchipped when she was a bit older. I think she was like 6 or 7 months old. I want to get our two new babies microchipped but they seem too small to have it done, so I will ask the vet. I went to one place and they would not do it until the pup was older because she was smaller.

| I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I think many people do it while they are under for the spay or neuter, you can do it without anesthesia, but there is no risk of them wiggling when they are under, so I think it's safer.

| Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I usually have puppies chipped a day or two before they go to their new owners, unless the new owner asks me to wait--or tells me they will do it at spay/neuter time. |
