| Biewers? Okay, so I was just searching the web and I found a little biewer yorkie that melted my heart and made my stomach flip!! OMGosh!! HOW CUTE!!! I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the differences are between a biewer and an traditional yorkie (physically and mentally), how much they usually go for, what are my choices for a breeder in the US (because most of the ones I found online where in Germany), or any thing else. I'm obviously not going to just run out there and get one, I will probably be doing around a years worth of research before I get one...but seriously! Talk about ADORABLE! I am looking for any and all information I can get on here about biewers. I NEED ONE! Hahaha. Thanks!

| Good luck with your search! That is exactly how I felt the first time I laid my eyes on the parti color Yorkie. If you type in the word Biewer in the search box, there will be some information that you can learn from YorkieTalk. There are some breeders of Biewers that are members here as well. Tammy |

| I have one Biewer boy and one Yorkie girl, and the only difference besides the coloring, is the biewer is a bit more laid back, kind of what might be described as a Yorkie without the "tude" There are a few breeders starting in the U.S. and Canada and the prices vary depending on show or pet, just like Yorkies.

| YorkieTalk does have a sister site--BiewerTalk where you may be able to get some info too. Not sure if it is very active, but it's worth a shot. And you think they are cute by the picture you saw...wait until you 'meet' one in 'person'they can completely steal your heart! |

| Hi there is a lot of information out there about Biewers, but you have to look. There are 4 different Biewer clubs that have been started in the US. They all have different opinions about how to breed, where to register, and even the standards. A Biewer should be registered with a German club, don't let these other clubs tell you otherwise. Unfortunately Biewertalk is not very active. There are also other forums out there that are active, but there is much back bitting and lies being thrown around on them. (just as there can be with any group of people) Many of us have decided to not be with these clubs and the forums that are always fighting. There are many Biewers now being breed in the US. Jenn had a litter earlier (don't know if she ever got her girl sold). I have two litters (4 weeks and less than a day!) I think Scrapindee, also a YTer, has a litter of puppies that is 5 weeks old (maybe 6??) ksbiewers and I have sold some of our dogs as pets to YT members. In general, the Biewers seem less hyper and yappy than the traditional yorkie. The size standard is the same, but just like with the standards you get some that are smaller and some larger. The hair is the same as the standard yorkie, with silk being preferred, but there is also cotton coats as well. My Biewers are very people oriented. They love being with us and definitely have one person they like the best. Make sure you ask lots of questions whether you go with a Biewer or a standard yorkie. Good Luck! |

then our biewer princess Hanne. All the boys are laid back and so loving and want to cuddle all the time. Hanne is the smallest and she rules this house with her tude! Never did I ever imagine I would be bossed around by a less than 4 pound ball of fur. She's so snotty she's adorable and I do believe she knows it and works it well!
