My poor little baby. I took her to the vets this morning for an exam, and the vet looked at her and said she needed that drained. My poor baby. I had to leave her there, so they can give her a light anesthetic and drain our her overfilled anal glands. He said what happens is when they overfill for some time, the secretions become like toothpaste, so they don't just squeeze out on their own anymore. He gave her a tranquilizer shot and she threw up

but they said that happens. She was so sad, she tried to cling on to me

I gave her many kisses, and they asked if I wanted to keep Rocco there with her for company, but I said no because he would be jumping all over her to play. I have to pick her up at 5

Awww poor little Coco-mo. I figured it was her anal glands.

My poor little munchkin. Give her kisses from me.

Awwww Poor baby. I hope she feels better after they take care of her wittle bum!!

Ok I just got a call from the vet. They just finished and Coco-mo is waking up now. He cleaned the abscess out and also drained the sacs. Her poor bum

I'm definitely giving her loads of kisses, even more than usual

She will feel so much better now!!!

I think it really takes something out of them. Make sure to ask your vet lots of questions - especially if you are thinking you might try to handle the anal glands yourself.

Glad she's doing well.

Thank goodness...the worst is behind her now and she will get better with each new day. Bless her sweet little heart!
