I have just remembered that it was not a judge Judy, it was another judge (with blond hair). The case was about yorkie that was killed by pitbull. The owner was unbelievably sad, cried, she seems like one of YT "crazy" mom (in good meaning of course:) ). The owner of pitbull was looking at her like she is an idiot to cry for "just dog" :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown So she claimed for all expenses (she tried to save a pup) and her emotional distress (she couldn't work, her health became worst). She won expenses for vet bills, price for the yorkie (I believe), but unfortunately she couldn't prove problems with her health by documents. So if you want to claim for emotional distress, collect all necessarily doc from all doctors you can. Good luck :) |
24 Female Yorkies!!!??? Wow!! That breeder has 24 female yorkies!! 24!! That is a lot to take care of properly. Sounds very puppy millish to me. |
If Florida has puppy lemon laws, contact the DA in your area and everyone to file your complaints. If you bought the dog with paypal or a credit card, notify them too. I am so sorry for your heartbreak. |
My suggestion for anyone who's been sold a sick puppy or been ripped off by a dishonest breeder: Make copies of everything a couple times over(e-mails, vet records, registration papers etc.) Document everything you can remember as accurately as possible, including dates or inaccurate things they've told you) Write letters to the vet that this breeder uses letting them know that they are selling sick puppies or ripping people off and include copies of all your documentation. Send similar letters to whichever registry they use(AKC, CKC) File reports with BBB, rip off report, and post a review on YT(it shows up when you google). Make sure to list phone numbers, the person you've been in contact with, anything that will help future customers not go through what you've been dealing with. The more people you can reach the better. Check with what laws they broke and file complaints with whoever you can. If you hurt their customer base then you hurt them. They are in it for the money and money only. You might not get your money back(that's a whole 'nother story, use a CC to pay if you can, to protect yourself). However, if you can keep people from buying from these dishonest people they'll have to get out of the business. Plus, with their name all over the internet and their vets knowing how they deal, it will hurt them more. That's why their names, e-mails and phone numbers are important because they might change their "company" name but most likely don't bother to change all their contact information. Good luck, I've been through some scams and while it was heartbreaking and such an awful time I know I've eventually saved a few people from making the same mistake or being taken advantage of by the same people. |
To everyone who has been ripped off by a "breeder" #1 Take Action!!!!! Whether it is small claims court or reporting them to every agency out there, that will listen, do it!!!!! I know it can be exhausting mentally and physically but it is the only way to stop these so called breeders. These monsters are making a living on selling puppies that they have purchased for as little as $150 a puppy from puppy mills in other countries and are selling them to people as pure bred puppies from a reputable breeder for as much as $2200 a puppy. These so called breeders have no idea of the health or quality of the puppy they are selling. It is very hard to tell the difference between a reputable breeder and one that is not. The simple fact is buy only AKC puppies. AKC is the hardest kennel club to register with especially if your puppies are not pure bred or come from a puppy mill. The CKC (continental kennel club) is a joke!!!! You could register a squirrel as a pure bred puppy with them. #2 Shop Around!!!!!!! Ask as many questions as possible ask for at least 3-5 references. Ask to see both parents and ask to see where the puppies are kept. Bottom line to those of you who have been ripped off TAKE ACTION and don't give up!!!!!! To those of you purchasing BUY AKC !!! Even if it's just the family pet. Buying AKC you have a better guarantee that you are dealing with a reputable breeder than some puppy mill or some scum buying from a puppy mill posing as a reputable breeder. Good Luck to Everyone!!!! |
