I hope you are able to convince your family that some terriers are VERY stubborn and strong willed and take longer to learn. But, if your family prevails, I'm beggin you, do not give in and have her put down. I'm sure you could re-home your baby to someone who may have more experience with difficult dogs. I know my father has bird dogs that he sends away to intense one on one training. It lasts anywhere from 1-3 months. I don't think I could be away from mine that long, and I'm not even sure that type of thing is offered for our little ones, but it's worth looking into so that your yorkie can be a contributing member of your family. Good luck. It must be a stressful situation trying to keep her from getting into trouble and keep hubby and family happy too. I hope things work out for you. |
