Are Britney's boys to blame for puppy's broken leg?

Britney Spears' new pet terrier is nursing a broken leg after the singer's young sons reportedly injured the dog.

The pop star's kids, Jayden James and Sean Preston, were playing rough with the little dog, London, when he yelped in pain, according to US reports.

A source tells the National Enquirer: "When Britney first got the puppy, she showed him to the boys.

"Sean chased the little dog until Britney finally had to stop him because the dog ran under the bed and wouldn't come out."

But the boys' rough play continued - according to the Enquirer, they often threw little London around.

And now the pooch is sporting a cast on his rear leg after one recent incident left him in agony.

The source adds: "Britney found London under the crib whimpering and crying.

"The poor puppy was taken to the vet when Britney's cousin Alli Sims noticed that he wasn't walking right or running as fast."

This is why someone so irresponsible shouldn't have a yorkie!!! This just makes me SO mad!

That poor pup....I hope she realizes that a new home would be best for the pups welfare....

Their's a furbaby that needs to be rehomed.

i agree that she is too irresponsible to have pets. she can't even take care of her and her kids.

but, my maggie has a broken leg because of my daughter dropping her...so i hope that does not make me a bad yorkie mom :(

but yes, britney certainly should not have dogs. wether they be yorkies or not...she just is completely crazy :cool:

You're not a bad yorkie mom. I'm sure you have taught your daughter that she has to be gentle and careful with little dogs...sometimes accidents just happen. Yorkies and young children don't usually mix well because there are a lot of parents that don't teach their children how to be gentle with toy breeds (like Britney) and don't always supervise them well...but even with the most careful children AND adults, accidents happen. I know dogs that have fallen or jumped accidentally from adults arms too. So don't think your a bad yorkie mom - I'm sure your daughter is always careful with Maggie..accidents just happen sometimes and it's not anyone's fault..we can do all we can to prevent them, but they can still happen.

Now Britney Spears - she let her son chase the poor dog as soon as it got home. She should have stopped that behavior right then and taught her sons to be gentle with the puppy. And for her (or their nanny or whoever) to know that her sons were repeatedly being rough with the dog (and throwing it around at that) and to continue letting the dog be tortured, she needs her leg broken...ugh She's already been in the news for not being a good mom to her sons, so of course she isn't going to take care of this yorkie. I'm sure she carries it around out in public and then goes home and has nothing to do with it. Poor dog..it's lucky it only has a broken leg. What happens when this puppy starts biting her sons out of defense? I'm sure it will be gone then because the puppy is "so vicious and bites".

I know she can't move right now without a pic and a story BUT if she had a 1/4 of her brain capacitors up and running she'd try to be seen doing something right----------- throw a few more watts on and she'd bloody well stay home for a couple months. :rolleyes:

That poor poor dog. This is why unless people are going to train their SKIN KIDS, they shouldn't have small breed dogs.

knew it was a matter of time! what is WRONG with this girl? Seriously? Accidents happen, to everyone I realize. But man, she seems prone to all kinds of 'freak' things. Time to give up the pup (all her pups) and concentrate on raising those kids better Brit!

I swear I just want to SCREAM after reading this!!! Britney is SO irresponsible that it makes me SICK. That girl doesn't deserve any children, OR dogs! She doesn't even know how to take care of herself, let alone children or pets! :mad: :mad: :mad:

im sick of hearing about all these stupid things shes done/doing... someone needs to come and take away all living things away from her until she can learn to at least learn to take care of herself. :mad: :thumbdown

This makes me so very mad...small kiddies and tiny delicate yorkie puppies DO NOT mix...accidents WILL happen! I'm currently trying to get my sister to see sense in buying a yorkie pup for her daughters 14th b'day when they have a very lively, very spiteful and strong willed 2 year old in the house! in my opinion its an accident waiting to happen. we were there a couple of weeks back and stayed over 2 nights and she would not leave our Staffy alone...luckily he is a very tolerant and gentle natured dog as well as a big hulk of a muscle that can take some pulling around without too much bother..but a fragile yorkie pup wouldn't have a chance....

I hope the cousin (that noticed something was wrong with the dog) takes the poor thing and finds it a good home!!

Not to play devil's advocate.. but uh, This report is from the National Enriquirer.. not exactly the New York Times. It seems as though everyone automatically assumes this girl is going to do something wrong. That's not right.

If she didn't have any more sense than to leave that poor dog to the mercy of her kids, she isn't fit to have it. And then to not take it to the vet until someone else told her to. I hope her kids have a nanny looking after them.

This is a perfect example why a reputable, ethical breeder does not sell their pups to brokers who fill the pet shops windows...

If Brittany Spears contacted me regarding a puppy, I would explain to her that Yorkies do not make good pets for toddlers and not sell to her..a pet shop can not do this...they must sell to anyone who has the money...

I have sold to celebrities, and refused others..I thought Eddie Murphy kids were too young...Venus Williams said she always left her dogs in a kennel when she traveled..(in fact she was looking to replace a Yorkie that had been killed in a boarding kennel)...I did not think she was a good pet owner since she was away so much...I will never respect a breeder who sells to pet shops...

If even part of what we read about Brit is true, she doesn't need children or pets. It takes a very responsible owner to have yorkies, much less kids!

I hate to think about what goes on in her house:(
