Trouble With Topknots...Non-Silky Hair

Both of my girls have non-silky hair. The hair on their head grows SO slow! Do any of you have this problem? Here's Juju (Betty ran and hid )

1-Juju sporting her 'sun visor'

2- Quit takin' my pitcha!!

3-Half-way top knot (which she managed to take out 30 seconds later).

Juju is 5 1/2 months old, but Betty is 10 months old and STILL has short hair on top. Does it ever grow?! Thanks for any input!

Hey, Adie is 15 months old now and I just started putting her hair in a topknot. It hasn't been thick enough!

I laughed out loud at the 'sun visor' picture. That's great. Juju is really, really cute!!! Good luck. Otis has thick bangs too, I never thought about calling them a sun visor!!!

She looks so much like my little Kalina and they are close in age. They both have the exact same little white mark on the chin!! I have to put the bow in very low on her (see avatar) because she has the same "sun visor" look. I find that the French barrettes work so much better at this time than rubber bands.

My girls hair on the top of her head grows very slow also. Was also wondering if anyone had any suggestons?
