awww Aubrey will do great! Its a fairly easy procedure for the little boys! I was a mess with my Dex when he went in, but that was bc he had a heart murmur and my vet was leary about anistethia with him... but really the surgery, no problem :) :) You'll be happy to cuddle with your little man tonight, he'll be sleepy and cuddly Im sure... Dex was!

I feel sooo lucky with my vet and how they do the neuters. My vet said it was LESS than 10 mins... and there are no stitches. They use skin glue. My little guy was not itchy or picking at his 'wound' there was no wound. He was perfectly fine the next day! They told me not to let him go up & down stairs or jump on or off furniture, but I couldnt stop him. He was only 3.6lbs when he had the surgery done. They do not keep them overnight there either. I had to pick him up at around 5pm from the vets, he was groggy and limp but the vet said he would be like that, and that it was more just relief on his end to be back with his mommy after a hard day!

I'm just now getting on here and checking on your little guy. I told you that they would probably let you bring him home. I'd just go on down to the vet's office at 4:30 if that's possible.:D Glad he's doing ok. Take care.

When we had Max and Mazie neutered and spayed (about 6.5 years ago) they didn't make us put collars on them, we had to put them in onesies, so they wouldn't lick their stiches, they also gave us this yellow sab (?) to help with healing or infection I guess, not really sure.

My little Lucy will be six months in October and I plan to get her spayed then!

I meant to ask if he was going to have stitches, oh wait. I remember they told me that I will have to bring him back in about a week to remove his stitches :(

Aubrey is a little over 10 months :eek: I waited a little longer, bc I didn't know that I was going to be getting a girl and that I needed to get him neutered. But I am going to get Dakota Spayed and microchipped when she turns 6 months and that will be at the end of November. So no Christmas babies for us!

Lucky my bed is right near my computer. Hes doing fine, a little drugged over. Went outside and hiked his leg too far and fell over.. :eek: Dakota is DYING to see him, and I let her sniff him, but I don't wnat him to think its time to play, but he might not even think that hes drugged up.

Does he have a collar? Or did you get a onesie? If it's the collar, is it a hassle for him? Just curious. I am sooo glad it went so well. :)

He doesn't have anything, just me telling him to stop. But hes really knocked out, I think tomorrow I might have to go and get him a onesie. He has only tried to bother it once.

So glad to hear that he is home safe and sound! Mine was acting a bit drunk too when we got him home and a few hours later he gobbled up his dinner and was on his way back to normal. Did they tell you to only feed him 1/2 the normal amount of food tonight?

My puppy has had the collar on since Friday and it is amazing how quickly he has adapted to it. The first day I thought there was NO WAY he was going to make it 10 days with that thing on. By the next day he had figured out how to hold toys in his paws to chew on them despite the collar. He is getting TONS of extra scratches behind the ears and neck since he can't reach those areas by himself! It is hard not to spoil him even more with that collar on! :)

They didn't tell me about the food thing. But I gave him a ltitle bit earlier, shortly after we got home, and I prob won't feed him again. I still have to feed Dakota. He might try to eat it. He has already jumped off the bed 2 times, but I am sure they know that its IMPOSSIBLE to keep them from jumping, they just want you to try your best.
