Don't you wonder what good achievements these people could do if they just put all that time and creative thought into something worthwhile? |
That google search and that last sentence saying reports of spyware attacks' in the email are also something to watch out for. It akes it even more important that no one opens attachments with ANY unsolicited email - the whole computer world is so ruined by scammers these days - I know it was bound to happen.... but it seems like there should be more ways to go after these people. I got an email from EBAY yesterday saying my account needed updating...and am STILL not sure if it was the REAL ebay or a counterfeit...I figure I'll go update my account on my own and not take any chances... |

Some people will try everything to scam you. Last year on ebay my hubby was looking at a Harley. Best price he ever had seen, but they would only accept western union as payment (warning!) We corresponded and told them that we had to use paypal, well, that was not accepted we were told. Did some more digging and found out that they "stole" someones user name and were using it to scam people out of money. I reported them to ebay. Ebay will be the first one to tell you to not use western union as a form of payment because it can't be traced. I guess we just have to use our instincts and be on guard at all times. Usually, like they say, if it's too good to be true, it usually is... |
