| ![]() Hi, I recently moved about half an hour away from where I was, so I've had to change groomers. I used to go to a small-business groomer called "Mrs. Tony Jr's". They did a terrific job, but it's close to 45 minutes away now. So, this time I used Petsmart, which is only 15 minutes from my apartment. I think they did a great job on Fitzgerald, but first of all, the people aren't very friendly at all. Every time I walk in there, they look at me as if my existence has burdened their day. Secondly, on top of their $38 charge for a full grooming, they charged a $5 special handling fee because "it took two people to groom him." Now, I know he's a rambunctious pup, but if I can clip his nails, trim his ears, brush him, bathe him, etc. all by myself, then I would like to think that a professional groomer could handle him even better than I can. Is this common with petsmart groomers? Does anyone else use the groomer at their local petsmart? Also, does anyone from Baton Rouge know of a good local groomer? The thing i liked about the old groomer is that they actually cared about my dog and didn't treat me or my dog like a nuisance. |

| ![]() I haven't gotten Jack groomed yet, but another friend of mine who has a yorkie gets theirs groomed at Azalea Lakes Veterinary Clinic on Jefferson. Their little yorkie is so cute! I have attached a pic. |

| ![]() Everyone that has gone to Petsmart has complained that they didn't like to cuts, or that their babies were hurt.

| ![]() I took Gypsy to Petsmart grooming and they did a good job, though it was expensive. They charged extra cause of comb out. Since she was getting cut short I could not understand the charges. This last time I took her to SuperPetz and they did a great job for less.
