| Q about the chris systems hair care... Everyone has said such wonderful things about these hair products that I am about to make an order. But before I do I just wanted to ask a few questions... Is this good shampoo/cond for an 11 week old puppy? And we are going to be keeping his hair short, is this product mainly for the use of Yorkies with longer hair? Do you suggest getting the shampoo, conditioner and the leave in spray? I know there have been a lot of posts about this, I hope you don't mnd responding to another one. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I sure don't !! Awwww...11 weeks !! Congrats ! With a tiny puppy - It's just my opinion...but I would use a Regular PUPPY Tearless Shampoo and not worry about ordering yet. I still use it on Cheri's head/face area and she's a year old....they wiggle something terrible if they aren't used to the water...Tearless is much gentler than your regular shampoo When they get to be about 5 months old ...they have more hair and maybe then is a good time to use it.... Your baby has puppy hair now and doesn't have his real yorkie coat yet - so you can probably wait on an order and get it when his adult hair starts growing in... If my girls were short - I would probably still use it - it's really gentle on their hair for frequent bathing. |

| Thank you! That is exactly what I was wondering! The Chris Systems seems great, but I just didn't know if it'd be good for a puppy. I'll get the puppy shampoo for now and then when he gets older and more hair I'll make the swap! Last edited by Meg; 06-11-2005 at 01:24 PM. Reason: spelling |

| I use tearless puppy shampoo for their faces, i only use this product on Chanel too because i bought it for Chelsey, its true what Villette said, the real yorkie coat has not started coming through yet tho i have to admit that the ice on ice spray has helped me and Chanel a lot with brushing, she wears clothes every day because she chills down fast and her puppy coat gets all knotted fast too, she hates getting brushed yet loves her bath and doesnt mind the dryer ( crazy baby )

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Chelsea is RIGHT ~~ when the coat starts growing in - the ICE works GREAT - their hair WILL change - and if your baby wears clothes - this is when the knots start happening - Cheri wore lots of clothes and I didn't use it on her when she was real small and she got tons of knots so it really helps for that |

| I ordered it today and I can't wait to try it. I also ordered the rinseless shampoo because a few days after a bath Gus usually could use another one. He's such a boy. Thanks for recommending it.
