I Can't Believe This!!
 
Early this morning I posted asking for help because I had a puppy born with it's intestines on the outside. I kept him comfy, warm, and supplemented him. He is SO active and was crawling everywhere. Well, all the intestines have gone back into the belly on there own!! I can't believe it! He's thriving and I'm supplementing him. I don't know if he will still have problems or not. Naturally my vet is on vacation so I have to see another vet.

Anyway, I just wanted to let those of you who posted to my thread know what the outcome is.

Please pray for him.

OMG! How scary. I am so happy to hear about this for the little fella. I hope he can get to the vet today - I'd still be so worried about twisting etc. - I hope he turns into the healthiest of the bunch!

I am still worried. I know that it may not be over with yet and it still could turn out bad. He's a trooper :)

Oh dear! I don't know much about that stuff..Is that common? (intestines on the outside)

I hope he's turns out normal & healthy!

I've heard of it happening before. I really don't know if it's common or not.

NO WAY !! AMAZING ! WOW - I read your thread and posted - I'd never heard of that so I went and read about the other little one born that way and felt so bad thinking the worst - that's incredible.....are you sure it wasn't the placenta ????

I am glad the baby is doing better but how did the intestines go back in? Were they hanging out of his umbilical cord? Maybe they werent intestines and just part of the placenta? Either way I hope he continues to thrive. You will have to come of with a special name for him.

This was hanging out of his umbilical cord. It looked like a bunch of worms. I'm going to put pictures of it on here as soon as my husband can help me.

Many, Many, Many years ago I had a puppy born with this exact problem. I rushed him to the vet and they euthanized him. The other puppies in the litter were all fine. The dam was a dog that was abandoned and I took in that I didn't know was pregnant. She was my first and only Yorkie and I loved her so much. I never had another Yorkie until now - Kalina.

I wish I had known then that there was even a POSSIBILITY that that could happen. I'm anxious to see your pictures. It's amazing!....I wish you luck.

Wow ...I'm glad they went back in. Do you think it could be a hernia?? If so, you might want to tie something around his middle, like a little binder in case he strains so they won't pop back out. At least until you see the vet.
We to that after abdominal surgery so the incision won't open. Just a thought...I hope the puppy does well

Ah... it sounds like he has a really strong will to survive. :) I hope that little guy makes it. :thumbup:

I know this sounds bad but are you sure the momma didnt chew them off trying to clean him or have you kept him seperated so she couldnt mess with them. I so hope he is perfectly fine now. Sounds like a little fighter.

This is crazy! I'm glad that the little one is doing good.

Happened to a breeder here and she took it in to see the vet. Vet gave pup one stitch to keep everything inside but unfortunately, the pup passed.

He was kept separate with a rice bag warmer. His chances of living are slim but I'm giving him any chance I can.

Here are the before and after pictures of the little boy. The first one is just after he was born and the second one was taken about an hour ago.. The shiny spot on the after picture is Neosporin, which the vet told me to apply.

Tell me what y'all think.

I dont know what to think. That is unbelievable. Does he still seem strong and is he eating? Have you heard from your vet yet?

wow, can't believe the organs went back in by themselves. What did your vet say about the little one? Does he think anything else is wrong?
