| Going to pick my Yorkie!! Thursday I get to meet with the breeder and choose the pup I want. Any certain questions that I should ask the breeder? Yorkies are new to me, not to mention choosing from the litter. Is ther anything I can look for when picking a pup? |

| How wonderful! I would make sure his/her eyes are clear and bright and that the tail is wagging when you talk to him. Make sure he doesn't act too hyper or too shy as you interact. It's so hard to pick! We had 4 to choose from and I wanted them all! Sometimes you don't pick the puppy, the puppy picks you! Good luck.

| Pick a girl, so you can make her allllll pink and dressy like my Coco...I love the boys too, they are sooo cute though. That's a tough one. Make sure the puppy is active and ask for birthday and age. Do the calculation in your head because some breeders will give you the wrong age, to sell them or confuse you about their size. An active puppy is always a good sign, especially if they give lots of kisses.

| The best advice I've ever heard on this subject is to let the puppy come to you and then you want to look out for the things mentioned already: clear eyes, healthy looking coat, good disposition, etc... Good Luck and let us know how it goes. |

| I remember I picked Fred instead of his two other sisters! Now that I have learned more about Yorkies .. I wish I could have taken all three of them home with me! |

| Belong to Piper Piper literally picked me!! His brother wanted nothing to do with me but Piper was all over me, giving me kisses, nuzzling my neck, jumping into and snuggling up in my lap, prancing back and forth in front of me...there was NO other choice. I was his and HE knew it and so too did his brother. According to the breeder this was unusual for Piper to act this way, and usually the brother was the more affectionate one, but not with me. I was picked and have been hooked ever since!! Of course all the health issues are important too, but luckily Piper is the picture of health so attitude ruled the day!!!

| The best thing is to let the puppy come to you . No matter male or female , he or she will have to look healthy . |

| You'll find your puppy just fine. Make sure he/she is healthy and then let the rest just fall into place. There was another puppy when we got Keeley, she was a teeny tiny little girl (1/2 the size of our big boy). But Keeley was so energetic and just so happy to be alive. We fell in love with his little personality and knew we wanted him. He is so much fun! And I know it'll be great to have a more sturdy yorkie when we have kids in the future. Good luck, I can't wait to see pics! |
