I would contact the news/media. A while ago, a reporter did 1 or 2 short episodes on this breeder and his kennel. I'm not sure where the thread(s) about that went but I know they're here somewhere. I'll try to locate them for you and post them here. If anyone can find those threads, it would be great to post them here (hint hint, wink wink lolol) :D But maybe you can contact that reporter, tell him your story and that you have PROOF (medical information, vet bills, maybe get your vet to talk too, etc.) and see if he can help you out and maybe even do an episode regarding your situation. I'm SO SORRY for your loss. I know what it's like to lose a beloved baby, so my heart goes out to you. I wish you all the best of luck. |
Im sorry for your loss.....poor baby, puppy too. Just a small word of advice that will eliminate some of the heartache and give u a place to start. NEVER even look into an ad or site that is advertising a TEACUP. When you see that word RUN!!!! Teacup is in no way a true breed nor will it be a healthy baby (in most cases) There is one kind of Yorkie and thats a Plain Ole Beautiful Yorkshire Terrier! The breed standard is 5-7 pounds and trust me that is SMALL dont go for these 2-3 pound babies being called a teacup. Now you could very well end up woth a fur kid that is PERFECT and HEATHLY and ending up 3 pounds.....I have 2 both below standard in weight Diggy is 3.4 and Bella is 4.11. You can also get a Pure bred Yorkshire Terrier that ends up 20 pounds. Now those on here are referred to as "Teapots" again NOT a breed but a playful name for a bigger baby! I personally want my next Yorkie to be a bigger baby and trust me a 10 pound dog is still small, can be carried in a purse there is just more to love! SO again if you decide to search out another Yorkie RUN if the word TEACUP is present, PLEASE!!!!!! |
Here is a link to that guy's "contract": http://yorkiecontract.homestead.com/yorkiecontract.html So if the pup saw a vet within 48 hours, supposedly it is covered - but who would want a replacement pup from the same guy? :P You also have to pay a $350 shipping fee (which is more than the advertised shipping price on the main site.) Shouldn't he pay the shipping? I was also amazed to see them selling pups for $10,000 that looked identical to some of the "cheaper" $1300+ pups, who weighed the same. What a joke... |
I am so sorry! :( |

Kellyn, I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I hope someday this monster will be stopped. Jenn's post is exactly what I thought when I read about your tragedy! |
Kellyn, please let us know what happens with this case. What is it going to take to shut all these puppy mills down???  |
I just want to say that I am so sorry for your loss. At least your puppy knew love before he passed, and I hope that will bring you some comfort. I've heard a bunch of bad things about that "breeder" from this site as well as others =/ |
1 Attachment(s) Attachment 138983You were ripe for the picking... You entered into buying a dog with out researching anything...It's a hard lesson.. So sorry.. Many nice breeders out there and you picked a puppymill... Any breeder having constant production of puppy's with out being involve with know of pedigree or what's in the back ground and can't answer questions as to known health issues with the lines or what is the guarantee on the pup.. You didn't have the dog a week before it died.. I think you do have recourse call a lawyer or even your vet my have help there as to who to contact.. But maybe as you had no guarantee it may be the buyer beware thing?? So sad... hugs to you.. From my fur family to you tinny dog kisses.. :animal36 :animal36 :animal36 |

i\'m terribly sorry for your loss. :( |
sad loss of your Yorkie My heart goes out to you after your tragic experience. But maybe, in honour of your lost little puppy baby, you should make it your mission to put a stop to what this breeder is doing. Remember the \'power of one\' should never be underestimated. Spread the word of his unacceptable deeds. Then hopefully less people will suffer as you are suffering. 4 Years ago we bought a Siamese kitten. After 24 hours he became critically ill and was literally at death\'s door for 4 weeks. I had to nurse him 24/7 for this entire time. When I told the breeder, she immediately offered not only to refund us the price we had paid, she also offered to pay all our vets fees. We gratefully accepted the refund, but told her we would take responsibity for the vet\'s bills because he was our kitten. But THAT IS WHAT A DECENT BREEDER SHOULD DO. Don\'t accept his conduct without making a stand. |
I am so sorry for the loss of your little puppy. Somehow this awful person has to be stopped. I hope you take legal action against him. Is just amazes me how he just keeps going and no one seems to care. |
I have had yorkies for only about 4 yrs, I did a ton of research before actually making my purchase but I still remember the web horror stories about this guy. Please do what you can to be sure he gets a hit for the way he runs his business. It makes my blood boil that he continues to operate. Everyone here has mentioned that there are very good breeders on this site and any I have had contact with will not ship a puppy, much less a small, sick one. I am so sorry for your loss but please reconsider another with a good breeder or a rescue. They are wonderful furbabies. |
