Looking for a winter coat/jacket
 
I am looking for a winter coat that I saw in a thread about 3 weeks back. I wondered where the OP got it from and how much it cost but didnt post to ask becuase i got sidetracked and thought i would be able to find the thread again but I cant.

It was designer and blue with some fur on it and I loved it, I am in love with it. I am even thinking about breeding my dog WITH that coat becuase I want Yorkies to automatically be born with that coat!j/k

I love that jacket and dont know if i can afford it, but would love it is someone could assist me in finding that thread so i can ask where the OP of that thread got it from. Please help Blue is my favorite color. I would even go for another color but one just like it as well. NE winters can be harsh!

IF i cant afford that coat i will be forever jealous of anyone who can or who has one.

PS. if you ever here of a yorkie being kidnapped and returned without a lovely blue coat it was me!

I don't know how important designer status is to you but i got a gorgeous light blue/white/navy blue parka with a fur hood for Nathan last season on sale from petsmart at the end of the season for $7.00!!! will send you a pm pix if you like

yeah i read about that one you bought and its cute!

But you know you see something you like and it catches your eye? I am a real thrifty person, trust me, but I want that jacket lol.

I saw it maybe in the pics section when someone was showing theirs off. I will comb the picture section again and see if i can see it:confused:

but yeah i did like the one you found at petsmart too, but for now since i really dont have a pets mart near me..Imma dream about the other one lol

YEP! thas it. I did a google search for juice coats and I was never able to pull ip that specific one bit many other juicy coats! thanks so much for your assistance! I appreciate YOU!

You are so welcome! I am the same way, I see something I really like, think I'll remember where I saw it.....then drive myself crazy trying to find it again.

Now, when you get the coat, we need to see pictures of your baby in it! :D

of course I will take lots of pics! I am glad they dont charge shipping so thas even better. I am not really an impulse shopper and when I saw that that was juicy , i was like NOPE cant get that, it'll prolly cost an arm and an leg. When i searched for it i thought i would come across one that i liked more but i didnt. It grew on me all these weeks and now i want it. Thanks so much, you just dont know how much i appreciate you. Mannn if i was skinny enough i would but one for each of my boys and share it with them lol but thas out of the question lol. I know nebraska winters can be cold and I know i will want to take them out. Yorkies have no isulation in thier fur so what the heck , why not splurge on this?.

dont you think it would be alot nicer to let your dog have its natural fur coat on to keep it warm- like Nature intended?

You must not have a Yorkie or you would know that they do not have an undercoat like other dogs have - they have hair like on a person's head. Do you wear a hat in the winter?

Yorkies area single coated breed (as are malteses and shih tzus etc.) and do not have a "fur" coat. They have hair. They do not have a second undercoat, called fur, to keep them warm. This is one reason yorkies do not shed anymore then we humans lose a few strands of our hair each day. If it is too cold for you to be outside, it is too cold for a yorkie to be outside. You wouldn't go out in freezing weather with a t-shirt and jeans on would you? Why would you expect a little dog with a single layer of hair to go out in freezing weather and be fine?

BTW I love that Juicy coat! They have a pink one for the girls and I really like it, but it just doesn't get very cold here in Texas. We may get a few freezing days but it doesn't last long. It usually doesn't get colder than a nice sweater day - but I still want that coat LOL. If it did get colder here, she'd have several coats.

I can't wait to see pictures of your boys in the coat! I'm thinking about getting my girls each one in pink. It really gets cold here in NW IN. My girls have tons of coat, but still, the winter wind really goes through it some mornings. I agree with you, I don't think the price was too bad for Juicy, esp. since there isn't a charge for shipping. Yes, I think our babies are well worth a splurge!

Ohhh !! You live Nebraska... I couldn't imagine why you wanted this coat if you lived in Puerto Rico.

i happen to not have an ac , even in hot Puerto Rico and when my dog and I go to someones home with AC he shakes as though he is in the arctic. This is why I am buying a few hoodies even so that he can be comphy in NE and even i heard of one gals Yorkie who was only comphy when she put on some PJs at night.. I took that story to mean maybe the Ladies lil one was cold at night.. cause that can only be the reason why after several restless nights the Yorkie slept the whole night after she had her pjs on.

No i was born and raised in NE for 31 years of my life. Heck naww i wouldnt think of buying something like that if i was Staying in PR.

If you looked at me you would know I am not much into fashion. I just saw this and wanted it for my boys since i was looking into getting them a coat anyway for the winter move. If you read my original posts u can see that I stated that i knew how cold NE winters can be.

that seems like something you would get for ur girl... but i can also see u with a matching hat scarf and boots some how lol u guys are really the fashionistas of the site lol.

When we get our Yorkie- if it wears a furry coat, My mum can walk it LOL.
She wouldnt mind doing that- but as much as I love my dogs- i like them to be dogs- and I wouldnt go and stick it in a coat that looked sissy-ish LOL. :D :D

one thing that kills me here in pr is when people say I am outta the continent of the us so they have to send it through UPS and i dont get free shipping and end up needing to pay more. I get maid because I use USPS just like any other us citizen, and from the people on here, well they tell me that the shipping cost is the same as a US state and there is no need for paying extra . That i am so greatful for.. So if its free i will have them shipped here, and if they will not ship to pr for free then i can always send it to NE since i will be there soon! 65$ with no extra shipping charge is an awesome price.

lol I understand where ur coming from. I am not much into the dressing thing but like i said when i like something i strive to get it. I do however enjoy seeing all the lil furbabies around here in their cloths. I dont post in many of them, but i do look and share then with my son. We make comments and jokes about them.. as anyone.. but the pic section is one of my favorite sections here.

That's a good idea, if they can't ship it to you there for free, just have it shipped to NE. When are you moving? Good luck with your move!

I am moving back in Late November of the first week in December. I am soo glad to go home as I have not even been back to visit in two years. My son really misses the snow. . I dont have any winter close either so I will be happy when I can finally shop at the stores I am comfortable shoping at. Oh and I forgot i can actually go into a Petsmart again WITH my boys. I know my neighbor was so suprised that they we are allowed to actually take our pets to petsmart with us.

I'll bet you will be so glad to move back. Just think, you'll be back in time for a white Christmas! You'll have so much fun shopping for winter clothes. I think I would miss the snow, too.

I got Lucy's at Bloomingdales here in Cali. Should be pretty easy to find on line. :)
