So glad Libby is home and you can now focus on helping her recover!! Do as the vet said and keep her activity level to almost nil. That is going to be difficult with Maddie around (as I well know from Sissy with Angel), but you can avoid lots of recovery problems if you just hold her for the next few days. Please give both girls lots of hugs and kisses from us!!! |

Awww Connie, I am so glad that Libby is now home with you. And I am so sorry that I am just now seeing this thread! Tatum gets spayed TOMORROW and I am SERIOUSLY FREAKING OUT. I have already been crying, and was even shaking a little earlier :( She will also need some teeth pulled as well. I am just so worried and I know when I see her afterwards I am going to burst out in tears - I know it sounds so dramatic but I am just that way when it comes to these things and my babies :cry: We are sending LOTS and LOTS of hugs to sweet little Libby - and Maddie is well! :hug: |
Connie good talking with you last nite and she should be feeling a little better today..Libby will be back to her spunky little self in no time. The poor babies always look awful when they have surgery but she will just have to get a sponge bath until she can have a full bath...;) 10 days will be up before you know it. Give both girls a big hug and kiss from me..and let me know how she is doing today. |

Is Libby feeling better today??? I sure hope so!!! When my baby girl Momiji had her spay last month, she had 9 teeth pulled!!! She was in pain with her teeth pulled more than spay itself!!!! Hope Libby isn't having discomfort with her mouth..... Yorkie prayer for Libby!!! |

Libby is looking much better today. This morning when we got up and I took her outside she walked a few steps and quickly sat down and stayed there. We came in and I fed the dogs and she wouldn't walk to her dish so I put her by her dish and she ate and ate and then even took some of Maddie's food. She still wouldn't walk, so I put her in her playpen while I went downstairs to take a shower. When I came up, Maddie was in the kitchen barking at me and making glances towards the hallway. There sat Libby! My gosh...she had climbed out of her playpen and made it halfway down the hall! I thought she would be safe in her playpen as she sleeps in there and feels secure. I hope and pray she didn't hurt herself by doing that. She CAN get out of her playpen when she's feeling good, but I really thought she wouldn't do that today. My gosh! She seems okay and has even started walking a bit. I just can't believe she did that! Little stinker! She looks better today and I think she'll heal quickly as long as she doesn't pull any more stunts like that! Thanks for all your well wishes! |
