| What a difference 2 pounds makes!! Today we went to PetSmart with Reece and Soleil and I saw two yorkies!! I never come across yorkies when we go there and usually my dogs are the smallest...well the first one was a beautiful bigger girl...I didnt ask her weight but I was thinking around the same size as Reece...about 5 pounds...but she had a full gorgeous coat...stunning...then at the check out there was a little girl barking her guts out at Reece and he barking his out at her..I assumed she was a puppy...then some asked her if she was a puppy...and the dreaded is she a teacup lol....I listened in on the conversation lol..and heard that she was 3 pounds...WOW was she teeny tiny!! She was full grown btw...I have never seen a tiny yorkie so I guess this post will probably sound boring to most but I was just in shock at seeing a full grown tiny yorkie lol...she seems so fragile looking....although she displayed the typical "Im a Rotti trapped in a yorkie body" routine lol...I cant imagine what a 1-2 pound yorkie would look like in person!! Heck Soleil is 2 1/2 pounds at 11 weeks and looks like a butterball compared to this little girl today lol...just had to share my day lol... Dawn |

| I know exactly what you mean!! All the yorkies I have seen at stores or walking around are the bigger yorkies. Scamp at 5.5 pounds was small to me and then I got Destiny and then Brownie and boy what a size difference a couple pounds is!!

| Yeah, I understand completely! My Mia is 5 lbs. and when I was looking for a male, I wanted a smaller one. I now have an 8 mo., almost full-grown, 2 lb. male and boy does he look like a shrimp compared to Miss Mia! I need to post pics of them beside each other! XXS is almost too big for him.

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | I now what you mean Dawn. EVERYONE (even on here) says OMG Bella is soooo tiny!!! Im like no, not really she is 4.6 -4.11 pounds she changes every visit lol. She is solid. Not fragile and vet said her frame could stand to be a 3-4 pounder (she is petite) her hair is long so you cannot tell but when u pick her up she is a rock. Now my other id Diggy he is barely over 3 pounds at 5.5 months and he is like hollow. Just nothing to him and seems more fragile than Bella. I think they are like us all carry weight differently and hard to tell with longer coats. Some look so small to us yet only a pound heavier YES a pound seems to make a huge difference!

| I am not a fan of tiny yorkies when they are bred on purpose. I am cool with it when i reputable breeder does it because they do it not to breed the smalles pups but most of the time breed with the you get what you get atitude and love them reguardless of size. I noticed that the 3 pounders around here dont have healthy coats and often people tell me that they cant grow the hair out. A few have had major health problems. I just get peace of mind on this site knowing people really are putting thier hearts and good common sense in bringing healthy babies into the world and are not caught up in size. I am happy that I have seen some of the healthier looking lil ones on this site as well. |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I know what you mean. London is around 2 lbs, a little more at 10 mos old and Sophia is around 3 lbs, Teddy is 8 lbs and next to him they are sooo tiny! Yesterday me and my bf just looked at London and were like wow she really is one small dog! I am used to her size now cause I've had her for 8 mos but sometimes i just have to look at her and notice that she is jusr really small compared to other dogs.

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | I soooo wanted Diggy to be a teapot.....Especially after looking at this pic.... Can't ya just see a big ole boy sitting next to Princess Bella??? I think she just looks so dainty and lady like and a big boy next to her would be adorable but at this rate.....Diggy is going to be smaller than her! UGGGGGG I was hoping he would get like 8-9 pounds to be honest. Lookin back at vet papers Bella was right at 4 pounds at 5 months and 3 weeks old. Diggy is 5 months 2 weeks tomorrow and just 3.3 pounds. We'll see I want healthy babies first but a "big" health baby would have been good too!
