My heart is just aching. I got an email last week about this little girl in my area (I had my search saved when I was looking for a male when I got Scout). She just seemed to be calling to me from this picture. I emailed the rescue group about her cause she just looked so pitiful. They said she was turned in because her owners "could not afford her upkeep". But they told me her adoption was already in progress. I told myself that it was as it should be because I really have my hands full with my two and it wouldn't be fair to them to add another dog, one that might have issues.

They emailed me today and said her adoption didn't go through. So now my heart and my logic are having a struggle.

Here is a pic of Cookies. She's in Tulsa, OK.

Ahhh I hope you get her, she looks like she needs a loving home:) I have 4 and its not any more work then 2:D good luck to you

If you don't take her, do you have any friends who like yours so much they'd like a yorkie?

I say go for it! I have 4 little dogs and trust me, once you have two, the rest are no more trouble at all. In fact, its a blessing because they all keep each other entertained. If one wants to play they can always find at least one of the other 3 willing to play with them!

It i is a lot more love-in and puppy kisses
I tell my husband when we reach about 50 pounds of dog I will stop.
I have 3 and it only adds up to 15 lbs LOL

Well I now have three......first female Tara, I got as a puppy in 2000, then I took on a male, 19 months old called Casper in 2004, and then I took on another female in 2006 called Tammy when she was 3. All are four pounds in weight.

LOL...I guess I didn't think you'd talk me out of it. How do you walk three dogs?? I finally have walking two of them myself down.

Beautiful little girl!! I think shes meant for you, especially since her adoption didn't go through. Thats just God saying "heres your baby".

They are so, so precious!!! Ohhhh, you guys are making this so hard! My husband said, "honey, you don't need another baby" but I know he'd let me have her if I want her. I think I will probe for more information from them, such as: Does she get along with other dogs, What kind of potty training is she used to, does she have any aggression issues with food or other things....Anything else you guys can think of??

I have three and love it! Here are a few good reasons...

If I take one with me the other two are not lonely at home.
When I get home I am greeted with three happy tails and faces.
My lap always filled with a pup or three when I sit down and get on YT.
3X the Love!

I say go get her!

I sent them an email reply asking the questions about Cookies. I told them about our family and yorkies. We'll see what they say. I noticed they put her back on Petfinder.

I love having 3!!!! And when you rescue one, it makes it all the better! Its a little bit more of an expense, but not much. My 3 have a ball together!!!!! I say go for it! I am presently trying to talk my hubby inot getting our 4th!

Make sure you check with your local municipality to make sure more than two are allowed per household...I just went through alot of grief over that issue...otherwise if all is well in that area...I say go for it!! Cookies is a doll!!

They don't mind how many you have as long as you license all of them and take care of them properly. :)

I have 3 that I got at all different times and they all get along. I love having 3. If you can do it go for it.

When I had just two I never thought in a million years that I would get a third. Then I saw CoCo's picture posted in the Yorkies for Sale section here on YT and it was like a lightning bolt hit me! I could NOT get her out of my mind and everyday for almost 3 weeks I would look to see if she was sold and she wasn't because she was WAITING FOR ME to take her home! Now that I have three, I can't imagine why I was so worried. Three is no harder than two, just more expensive! If you have the means to take care of her, go for it.

I believe that things do happen for a reason and this little girl's first adoption fell through because she's meant for somebody else and 'somebody' may be you.

Do your homework and ask the rescue groups all the questions you might have because you do want her to get along with your other two. But if she's as sweet as she looks, she will make a great addition to your family.

I'm hoping that my hubby will someday let me have a 4th because I want a Biewer. He says I'm nuts but I'm just IN LOVE!! :p

I think it really is up to you to know how many you can handle. My adjustment from 2-3 was harder than 1-2, but the hard stage only lasted a few weeks.

As for walking, I bought a coupler. It took them a while to get the hang of it, and I had to keep switching who was together until I got the right combo but it really did help me a ton.

They haven't replied back to my email yet...I'm anxiously waiting. I looked at their website to see adoption criteria and they don't have any posted. It looks like they only charge $70.00 to adopt. In my email to them I told them everything I could think of. Vet reference, that my dogs were on Revolution for flea/heartworm, I don't have a fence yet (that may disqualify me) but we moved to this new house in May and don't have it up yet.

If it's meant to happen I guess it will happen. I still have a little work to do on my husband, but if it really comes down to it he'll let me have her.

Oh, you can do it. Three is a piece of cake to walk. I didn't start getting tangled up until I added the forth one. LOL

I hope you get her. She does look so sweet and what a bargain.
