I agree that things have taken a bit of a negative turn on here lately..
I'm pretty new on here and don't express my opinions too much..i usually keep things on a pleasant 'chit chat' kinda level..I did decide to express my feelings on a thread about paris Hilton (i'm not a fan i'm afraid! lol) and felt a more experienced member 'shouted me down' for expressing my opinion I wouldn't say she was rude as such...her tone was somewhat 'sarcastic' as she kept quoting everything i had said...it just wasn't a 'friendly' response i felt...maybe i'm a little too sensitive! :rolleyes: this same person then posted on a thread of mine ..but not in response to my thread...she was commenting on a friends post..totally ignoring my thread.(this thread was quite personal to me) Isn't that called 'hijacking'? lol. Just felt that that was a little rude maybe?:confused: anyhow...it's sad when a handful of people are spoiling things for the rest of us.
I really enjoy coming on here...and alot of people were wonderful to me after i lost Heidi.

Well, with roughly 21,000 people registered -- and it seems like there are new names popping up all the time -- you have to figure it's going to happen.

I've gotten to where I choose my battles now. I don't go blindly charging forward like I once did. :D

Of course...we are all different with different views and opinions...there are bound to be clashes occasionally.
I just think some people need to read their posts carefully before they submit them..as they can come across as being abrupt and a little rude sometimes..;) but you are always going to get the troublemakers on these forums..the ones who set out to upset people!:rolleyes:

I also agree. I belong to a Bichon list and we run into the same thing now and then. Some people just want to flaunt what they consider their superior knowledge and aren't interested in much of anything else. And some people just like to fight. It's also easy to misunderstand someone because you can't see the look on their face when you read the post. They might be teasing or making a wry comment. Can't tell. I personally have had enough fighting to last me the rest of my life. I can get in there and punch and jab with the best of them, but it serves no purpose, of course. We're here to enjoy our common interest, Yorkies, and to lend support to one another when possible. I believe in doing unto others . . . and would rather spread joy than wrath. Life's too short to spend it fighting!

So true. The other thing that a lot of people forget -- myself included -- is that posting, like e-mail, doesn't allow for tone or inflection and things can easily be taken in a way they were never intended. I've seen this happen a lot lately.

And then there are some people who are just hypersensitive and no matter how you offer an opinion, advice or constructive criticism, they will feel you are beating them up mercilessly.:) (My mother is like this. Asks for your opinion and then, no matter how delicately you put it, if it's not what she wants to hear, acts mortally wounded. This from a person who is BRUTAL in her assessment of things.:) )

I was shopping last night and saw some kids' socks that said, "I'm not mean. You're just a sissy." Couldn't help myself. It made me think of YT and laugh.:D I try really hard to just keep a good sense of humor or try to referee if I think folks are being too rough. (And get beat up in the process sometimes.:p ) But that's OK. I'll just dust off and get back up.

:p I agree. I try to be a clown on here a bit to keep people laughing, plus that is my personality. I am a peace maker and try to keep everyone happy. In all seriousness when I started posting interest in bredding Diggy, and some of the PM's and comments I got I now keep it all on the down low. I would LOVE to share out loud what steps we are taking and what hurdles we over come so if your starting out as green as I am you can learn too! Instead I share with a select few whats going on and dont dare say it out loud in YT. I silently creep around searching posts for the answers I need or PM a trusted few. :( I really I have found tho....There are some GREAT people on here and one I found will definately be a life-long friend (yes u paula :D ) I would say I have found more than one life longer but 1 FOR SURE. Im not sure if the others i think of could put up with me!! :eek: :p I would never let the negativity run me off tho. SCREW THAT!! Then those bottom feeders win! Here's my advice.....Killem with kindness! and NEVER let them see you sweat! Im always here for anyone who needs a shoulder or to vent...DOnt hesitate to PM or Call!

Okay Now Im offended.....JUST KIDDIN SQUDDIN DIDDIN!!! How are ya chicka!! Very good posting there and had I seen those socks Id have to laugh too. Common girls Kick that dirt of your shoulders!!!
