Sharing Personal Space! LOL Gypsy has always insisted on coming to the toilet with me but a few months ago she started insisting on trying to sit on my knee! :rolleyes: With me being pregnant toilet breaks are becoming more and more frequent as my 'bump' grows so she's taken to sitting on my knee EVERY time!!!!! The thing is, my 'bump' is growing fast and there's leaving less space for her to perch on my knee! lol... it's only a matter of time before she doesn't fit anymore! My point was though, does anyone elses insist on doing this? |
Troy likes to follow me in or wait till i get out. but even if she wanted to i wouldn't allow her to sit on my knee. i don't know...seems to me if you let her do it then if you start not to like it it will be harder for her to hear no. if my son makes it in the bathroom he he trys to sit on my lap. hes 1. maybe Gypsy knows someone else is coming is going to be taking up her time and is trying to get every minute in with you till the baby comes!!! :D Congrats on the baby! |

All 4 of mine always follow me into the bathroom. They think anytime I'm sitting down its time to get in some petting. I feel like a mom with young kids who can't even go to the bathroom in peace. |

Eury waits outside of the bathroom for me. She used to follow me in but then she realized that when she got taken into the bathroom it's bath time. LOL I think it's a given that Gypsy senses the changes in you so maybe it's a matter of wanting to be with you and protect you. It's kind of a sweet thought. :) |

Tino loves to follow me into the bathroom. Even if I announce I am going in there he comes running. He usually stands on his hind legs and puts his front paws and chin on my knee caps while I am sitting down...like he is missing something important???? :p Silly boy! |

Tucker loves to accompany me to the bathroom. If I leave him outside he scratches and cries at the door the whole time I'm in there. Though, when he comes in I have to guard my underwear and play with him with a toy because otherwise he and I would know each other in a whole different way. Eww! |
Yes I can't go pee without an audience. I have hubby and he carries my son in, Tilly, and JJ. If I shut the door Tilly will wait outside but JJ will scratch till I open it. Usually they lay on the bathroom rug and just stare. |
wow..and i thought mine was the only one that did that!!! :) lol Well we have gotten to the point where he will now sit outside the door and wait patiently for me to come out!!! A mommy has to have a moment sometime!!!! Now when i take a shower he will wait outside the shower door til i come out and then go sit by the door...Guess he wants to make sure i come out okay!!!:D |
Mine either want on my lap, or in my pants, so I can't win either way. Wonder what they'd do if I wore a dress. LOL |

I am sorry that is not cute IMO, nor is it sanitary(fact). so many germs fester in bathrooms i don't think its the place to let a dog have his way. Ryoko follows me as well but I command him to sit and stay right outside the door. This way no germs are on him, Did you know that when you flush there is a microscopic spray that comes from the toilet spreading urine and fecal matter? I rather my boy be health, than get his way. |
Jake always follows me to the bathroom. Sometimes he comes in, and sometimes he waits outside the door. Lately, he has been trying to jump up in my lap. It's like I'm interrupting his lap time or something. How DARE we go to the bathroom! lol |

Loki is trained to stay out of the bathroom. Sammy likes to come in and sniff the floor and steal kleenex out of the trash. I kick her out too and leave the door closed. It's like starting all over... :rolleyes: Sometimes I crack the door when I shower and they will come get me if they need me, but they do not need to be in there otherwise! Sammy will try to paw at the door to get in, so I have to make sure it's shut tight! Whatever she needs can wait 30 seconds!:D |
