At YT, EVERYONE matters! I know I haven't even been a YT member for even a month yet, but here is the way I see it....EVERYONE counts.... E V E R Y O N E . Isn't it interesting that you post a "thread"? What good is one single thread? A bunch of threads are intricately woven to make up this beautiful forum. The different opinions, tips, problems, problem solvers, new friends, medical adivce, training tips, photos, etc. intermingle and make this a colorful place to be. If it weren't for everyone, it would be more of an advice column instead of a forum.

Also...what do you mean about it not being a forum for "debate"? I think its wonderful to share and discuss as you have stated. I would agree that a member that just stirs controversy by always debating or "playing devil's advocate" does no good to the forum... Its basically just a disguise for trying to starting fights. I do think that "healthy" debate is good and that we can learn from each other.

I really don't know what happened, I just know someone is thinking to leave (from reading a thread) and others don't want them to go. That's why I believe everyone is important, so many want that person to stay. I think this is a wonderful place to get whatever it is you may be needing, regardless of different opinions. Different opinions are actually great, because otherwise you may not get to see something from a different angle. It would be like someone giving you a telescope, but telling you you could never move it from that one spot...you could learn everything about what you see, but eventually you'll want to see and learn about more....am I making any sense?

Well, I do not know all of the details either, but the person who might leave felt like she coudn't express her opinion and she had to hide her true self in the posts because people got aggressive with their opinions and became rude. I do agree that debate is okay, as long as everyone expresses their opinions in a peaceful, polite manner without starting a huge controversy and upsetting people. Peaceful debates are perfectly acceptable as long as people don't become rude and unaware of people's feelings. I hope that everyone here can get along better!

that a member that just stirs controversy by always (keyword) debating or "playing devil's advocate" does no good to the forum... This is my meaning of not being a forum of debate! exchanges of opinion's help other members just because there are two options of opinion's and can choose to agree with one or the other... But when you get insulted by your opinion because someone did not agree with what you posted and then made to feel inadequate Is not A healthy Debate, and to be honest with you I can't recall one post (that I have read, & maybe that one slipped by me) of a healthy debate that did not turn into someones feeling being hurt and put down for their opinion! you just can't shove your opinion down someones throat and make it a Fact!! So as I said this is Only My opinion that this forum is for friendly fire..of Debate | |

What's life without a good debate? You express your opinion, listen to other peoples ideas and hopefully learn something. I debate back and forth with my husband, my friends even my child. There are so many things going on everywhere around you and it's important to keep open dialogues. If someone says something to me that I know is a crock, I'm going to call them out on it, and not in a negative way. If you are saying something to me, can you back it up? This forum should be no different. People should feel free to question or disagree. What is wrong with that?
