BOFU Toad Killed One of my moms Pups from her Litters.

Ewww!!! Toads are disgusting. I hope they never catch my girls attention. I think they are scared of frogs and toads.

I have heard about it all my life, live in the mounains of Colorado, and if I am not mistaken, they are also in Colo.

Because of this warning, I am sure the awarness will save the lives of many dogs and cats, and make people so aware they will keep their animals in. I only let my dogs have run of the decks, as I was so afraid of a spider biting them and of course they are all poisonious, these little yorkies are so fragil to the outdoors, they really have to be watched, we have a lot of birds of pray.

And not the most dangerous preditor seems to be other humans stealing them!!!!!!

Thank you Jeannie for your post. He was my Daisy's Brother out of the same litter, and the last of my moms breeding.

I really feel so sorry for the Lady that was his furmom, She had only had him for a short time. My mom had gotten him back from the 1st owner and she gave him so much love
I hope that everyone reads this thread and knows If it is a frog that looks liket this or not it could be deadly. And will Not let the sweet lil Furry ones Play with them.

I could not find anything so maybe it is good but are they in California... That makes my wonder what king of toad we found in our pool, I know it wasn't this one though, it looked nothing like the pictures

Pleas read the above Link it tells how to keep the frogs out of your yard and how to Kill them. Humans can get sick too.

Lori, thanks for much for the information. We have tons of frogs/toads out here. Murfee likes to chase them but I always drag him away from them but my son's dog, a red heeler, eats them. My daughter saw him the other night and said his mouth was foaming but he's ok. that is sooooo gross. Patty

Villette, are you sure we don't have them in Texas 'cause now I am really going to worry. All those critters look alike to me. My grandkids think it's great to pick them up but they never show me. I won't worry as much if I know for a fact that they are not poisonous You swear!!!! Patty

This is so sad!!! But wow did I learn something new!!! We have so many toads/frogs and I have no idea what kind they are. Buddy is always chasing them....well he use to chase them then one day he almost caught one but then immediately started to throw up. I just figured that the toad tasted horrible and it made him gag so he threw up. But now after this post I am concerned that my toads might be Bufo Toads. I am going to keep a very close eye on Buddy and make sure he leaves the toads alone.
