Fran that is so generous of you..but I wouldnt want to inconvenience you (since I don't have a date yet..that sounds horrible..but I more or less was told she has about 2-3 months :( )...he can be a handful..lol..but when I know more definitely I just want to know I have someplace for Maximus and I don't have to settle for a kennel where he will be sad..we should get together anyways Fran since you are so close..1 Sat. or something... if he's not to much of a pain in the butt..and you were available I would pay you whatever you wanted to watch him for the couple of days..

You would NOT be inconveniencing us AT ALL!! You let me know...And handful? HA, Im sure nothing compared to lil miss devil pants! LOL! We should get together...I don’t drive but we take the train/bus NO PROBLEM!!

And as for payment. NO WAY!!! I will not take any kind of payment...

We can discuss when the time comes...

This is why I love Yorkie Talk!!

I want to pet sit for somebody!! That way I could proove to my boyfriend that I can handle 3 - LOL! If anyone in New England is going on vacation this summer and needs a petsitter - CALL ME!!!!

You guys are awesome! Right now, I don't have to worry about this b/c Sydney stays with her grandma when we go somewhere. However after we get married we are planning on moving to North Carolina (very far away from grandma :) ). I have been worried about what we will do then b/c I'm not willing to board her either. It's nice to know that I have a world-wide network of yorkie-loving friends out there. (even if we haven't ever met).

Sammi stays with my mom too, since we live there now...They ADORE her!

I am leaving for my first vacation "being single" on June 24...My best friend bought me a ticket to go to Puerto Rico with her (I LOVE HER TO DEATH!!!) and I return July 4th...So of course I know my mom and dad during that time will spoil the devil pants off her!! :)

It is nice to know that we can leave our babies with people we know...(even if we hadnt met them)

It's great isn't it!!!!!...Fran I drive..lol..everywhere I am a lazy pants..but I could drive to Brooklyn..and we could go to a park over there or take a train or bus to Manhattan..I feel bad Maximus doesn't get out that much during the day and he LOVES to be outside..lol...although I think Porky needs to lose some weight..because 2 minutes in the sun and he's a panting..lol

Oh thats funny!! He and Sammi must be related...Cause Sammi is PORKY too and 2 mins she is already up the stairs from the backyard to go in the air conditioning....Sammi is at 13lbs now, but the vet says she is ok for her frame...:) What can I say, she likes pasta on Sunday like her mom :) LOL

You guys are funny! After Syd's spaying, she wasn't suposed to be "active" until 10 days after her surgery. ;) So no walks...and she gained weight in 10 days. Luckily it came right back off once she was allowed to walk again. But I just bought a set of winter boots for her so that we can continue walking once it's winter. Otherwise I think she'll be a little porker! :eek:

Ha...Walk whats that?? Sammi hates to walk...She maybe walks 2 blocks then she claws my legs to death to be picked up...Imagine...13 lb yorkie in my arms...carrying dry cleaning...Hmmmm not a good thing :)

wow...really? It's funny how different they all are. Walking is one of Sydney's favorite things! A couple of weeks ago we went 12 blocks to the ice-cream stand, took a small ice-cream break, and then walked the 12 blocks back home. And that's a lot when you have REALLY short legs (Syd not me). :p

Maybe the hot pavement is hurting her little paws?

12 blocks!! WOW! That is far!! :)

Sammi for starters has really long legs...7 inches!! So she should be able to walk a safari like a Yorkie Giraffe...But nooooo shes spoiled!!

And she will not walk in the winter, spring, summer or fall...Believe me I have tried and tops has been 2 blocks...

She is too funny!!

I am so sorry about your grandmother! If I lived in the city I would watch him for you on a moments notice too!

LOL...I think thats the problem..Maximus legs are so little that after a while he just wants to plop in the grass and pant..but God Forbid I try to get him in the house..lol..he dashes for water and then he wants out AGAIN..lol...he is only 4.5 lbs. NOW...but he is still growing..he is only 16 weeks..and supposedly he is only supposed to be about 5.5..HA!!!...Maximus will easily break that I believe..he loves food..and if he wants it I let him have it..he's just a baby..lol..but he is a porker

Hehe sammi... I'm running a 5k in central park next week and Annie has been training with me! She just loves it! When I pull her leash and harness out she goes crazy :D Although yesterday in the 90 degree heat she would have have nothing to do with it. She just plopped her tushy down to the ground :rolleyes: So we walked around the block and then dropped her back off in the air conditioning and went back without her ;)

I would say if there is a teen that is responsable that would be great... all through Jr High and HS I pet sat for a neighbor while they spent time in PS....it was great since I thought I were living independent (I stayed there when they were gone) it was like my own little house and I got paid to boot.....I took the doggie on walks and played with him like he was my own.....Granted it should be someone you know is responsible....maybe ask around for babysitters that also have some pet skills. I don't know too much about people to come in a few times a day...the neighbors did that a while back and the lady was theere just to put out new food and then left so that might not be a goood idea unless someon recomends one.
