Went to the dog show today
 

Took a few pictures, but mainly wanted to show you this little guy who won best in show today. His mommy was the sweetest thing and I told her he would win. :)
I also picked up a little something for Azrael's SB. The lady had only ONE and will never get anymore because they don't make them anymore. So I guess you could say it may be tiny, but it's special. :D

I did ask her what shampoo and conditioner she uses and she told me one of the two shampoo's which I hadn't heard of before so I forgot the brand. I'm going back to the dog show tomorrow and will ask her then what shampoo she uses on the dogs. She's been showing and raising Yorkies for 25 years, so she must know what works really well by now. :D The other shampoo she uses once a month, and after all the shows is Neutrogena anti-residue formula. The conditioner is Neutrogena Triple Moisture Daily Deep Conditioner.

Ahhh but did you enjoy yourself too? Glad you had the chance to go to a show, looks like an All Breed conformation show? Is it an AKC one? Lovely YOrkie, he did well.

You didn't say, what was the name of the dog, the breeder and the handler? And, yes it is very pretty with a beautiful topline.

That is Champion Best In Specialty Winner, Marysark's Smooth As Silk....and his handler Jane Furgeson. Smooth was the #2 Yorkie in 2006, owner Betsy Brown, breeder Mary Merky. Smooth was Championed and taken to the #2 by my dear friend Trish Kulessa. Had the pleasure of watching this little guy grow up. His brother 1/2 brother "Champion Best In Specialty Winner and National Junior Sweapstakes winner Jen's This Time Blue Tones is my Tahlulah's Sire, so that makes Smooth her Uncle.

Yes, it's in Lompoc. OUr climate lets you wear shorts and tank tops or jeans and long sleeves and be very comfortable in either. It's warm when in the sun and a bit chilly if your in the shade. I burned badly yesterday at the park.

Her name is Jayne Fergison, and the dogs name is Silky Boy, but they call him silky. They are from La Habra, CA. She gave me her number and email address when I went back down there today. She is so nice.

Yes, your right. The dogs name is Smooth as Silk and his call name is Silky. I said it wrong before.

I went back down to the park today to ask Jayne the products she uses because I didn't write them all down, and I really wanted to know. She took me back to her motor home after smooth showed (he got best in show) and let me know all the products. She set them up on a table and explained them all to me.

1. Neutrogena Clean Replenishing Moisturizing Shampoo. She says she uses this after each show since it cleans all the sprays and such out so well, but you could use it each time you bathe your dog if you wanted. She said it's her favorite. (in a clear bottle and the shampoo is pink)
2. Matrix 1 and 2 Sleek Look smoothing System Conditioner and shampoo. 1 is the shampoo and 2 is the conditioner. (they are in orange bottles)
Matrix Biolage Conditioning Balm (hydratherapie)
3. Crown Royale She said the concentrate would be the best by. Mix and put in a spray bottle. Spray it on a wet or dry coat before brushing.
4. Cowboy Magic. She uses the detangler shine on any mats, then takes either a knitting needle or rat-tail comb to get the mat apart then uses the slicker to brush the mat out. All other brushings are done with a pin brush that has a lot of give to it.
5. She feeds Royal Canin for Yorkies and if at any of the shows one doesn't want to eat, she feeds chicken & rice in a can, but said canned food does not have the nutrients because it's mostly moisture.
