4 Attachment(s) Oh my Goodness! She is a doll! it took a couple days for Mattie to get use to Max. I took Some Nutrical on the tip of my finger and she finally licked it off. it took a little bit of trying but she does it fine now. Just make sure she is drinking water also. If she isn't if you have a small dropper just put some water in it and put it in the side of her mouth. An very slowly squirt some into her mouth. My vet showed me how to do that when My libby wasn't eating or drinking. It works! Just love her and hold her. She has to get use to you and her new home. YT is a wonderful place for a wealth of information. I know it has helped me thru everything. There is a lot of wondeful, caring, knowledgeable people here. Give her hugs and kisses from Max, Mattie, Libby, Bobo & Me! |

I think I am about to go to bed. Dakota hasn't used the bathroom, and when I take her outside she jsut follows me around, and can't really tell if shes doing anything. Should I take her out in the middle of the night? |
Awwwww !! How adorable is she !! :D :D |
When we brought Violet home a week or so ago, she didn't want to eat the Iams Smart puppy that the breeder was getting her to eat. I took some advice on here that I read and went and bought some tasty soft puppy food (hills was the brand I bought). I softened some Iams puppy smart and mixed it in with the wet food. She ate that right up. My understanding is that when they are that small (violet was 9 wks also), you just have to get them to eat whatever you can. After those first couple of days, I was able to get Violet back to just the (softened w/ water) Iams smart puppy. It worked for us, hopefully it will for you too. |
