What is the most ignorant thing that someone has said to you about your yorkie??

I have yet to get my little Lillian (In August though!!:D ) but I talk about her constantly, so everyone I know, knows about her and how much I've been preparing and researching for her arrival.

Anywho someone at my job came up to me and said: "Did you hear Brittney Spears bought a 3,000 dollar yorkie, you better step up your game! Your getting a discount yorkie for 900 dollars." :mad: !!!! Yea so I explained to him that she bought a 3,000 puppy mill dog and it was only that much money because she bought it in Beverly Hills and if that same dog was in a pet store somewhere else it would be loads less. His response was "I'm sorry but a 3,000 dollar dog is probably better than a 900 dollar dog no matter where its from" !!! I was baffled.

But it gets worse, way worse:

He goes on to say that my yorkie is way overpriced anyways and that I could find a yorkie for 200 dollars. I'd already lost my temper at this point (I'm a Taurus :rolleyes: ) and told him that you couldn't find a HEALTHY yorkie for that price! He says I'm wasting my money for an INBRED dog whose teeth are going to fall out in two year!!!:confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

I didn't know what to say. He goes on to say that his mom had two yorkies and since this was my first yorkie I didn't know what I was talking about. He said that he is going to find some information for me about the dog to prove that they are all inbred with bad teeth. I was so PISSED OFF !! I asked him if he meant that all PUREBREDS were inbred and he said No just yorkies.

HE WAS COMPLETELY SERIOUS!

I ended up yelling at him about he is and ingnorant a-hole and that if he knew so much about the breed and I knew nothing then tell me about Hypoglycemia or collapsed trachea. He just rolled his eyes and told me I didn't know what I was talking about.

Everyone at work told me to let it go because he was just being an ass. But like I said I'm a Taurus and I hold grudges. It's one of my pet peeves when I know that I am right and someone tells me I'm wrong! :mad: :mad:

Also it felt like he was attacking my baby! I love her so much and I won't let anyone say those things about her!! I didn't let him now but it hurt me so bad that someone could think that about her! UHG! :thumbdown

Sorry that was long...but it hurt and made me angry! Please share your stories with me ladies (and gents) so we can laugh at those fools!

i dont have any stories but sorry you had to listen to someone say stuff like that to you! some people can be so dumb!

A 3,000 dollar dog is nicer than a 900, we're not comparing cars here....HELLO? I am sure that dog is not perfect! There is some flaw in it. And whoever wants to spend that much money like Brittany did, wants to be just like her.

If I were you I wouldn't even listen to people like him. As soon as he said something so stupid I would have just looked him in the eye and told him he was an ignorant a$$hole and walked away.

No way would I give someone like that an audience. Not worth my time.

Tell him to go """"" himself. I would be so angry too. But sometimes we have to know how to ignore a""H"""" he is prob just jealous. My dads friends wife is jealous of my baby and when she came over she kept saying how yappy yorkies are and how her husband said Armani is constantly barking! Is she crazy?? armani rarely barks, maybe once a week and thats only if he needs to go upstairs (he cant go up or down stairs). My dad (who was so against getting any pets) told her Armani is the best dog in the whole world and more like a family member, and if she had a problem with him then her and husband should leave! I was like go dad!!!!!

Oh boy, somebody is jealous! BTW... the best way to response to such immature statements is always: "You are absolutly right, dear!" with a super super sweet smile. That takes the wind right out of his sails and lets him stand with an open mouth. Tried out and proofen working by my husband at work. Now the whole facility just smiles and uses the phrase and drives those old bullies insane. :D

:thumbup: ....That's my way also, I probably would have just stated, " I don't recall asking for your 2 cents.".....those kind of people don't upset me, I just think what an a-hole & get on w/ my day, no more time wasted on them....

Sometimes I don't get the anger people get worked up into when I read about people having dumb things said to them in the pet store, on the street, in the park or where ever else about their yorkies.....I guess it's just not an issue for me...:confused:

I just like to ask those people where they got their information. people like that are so ignorant. I love to play with their minds.

People can be soooo dumb & rude sometimes.... but honestly, you gotta let it go in one ear and out the other... laugh it off! You know about your dog & the breed and you know that! It does not matter what 'some guy' whos mom once owned one knows or says! :)

Dumbest thing that I get asked by TONS of people REPEATEDLY is:
"Why do they look so different???"

Im like "Are you KIDDING ME???" HAHAHA I said "Do YOUR kids all look EXACTLY alike?" I said they are brothers yes, but like brothers in human families, they are NOT identical! HAHA People crack me up!

Someone told me that Boo bah didnt look like a yorkie. I told her "Well, what do you know about breeds? All you do is work in an office and type all day!" She told me "Well!, I never" and turned around and flounced out of the room. No one is going to say anything about my boo bah, even though she has her papers (which I never pay heed to) I dont like anyone saying anything negative about her. They're just jealous, ignorant people. There, I had my say...

Oh, and another thing the woman asked was, why doesnt she have that long flowing hair to the ground and her ears perked up? I told her, "listen she's only 5 mos. old and if you knew anything about this type of breed you wouldnt ask that!" Needless to say, we dont speak anymore. I heard she went through a very nasty divorce, but that has nothing to do with me or with my boobah!

Sorry you had to go through that..i havent had anyone say anything nasty about my babies...yet...but i did have a wierd incounter at the beach. We took our babies to the beach this weekend (fur and skin) and my husband sat in the truck with them while i went into a store. When i came out there was a guy leaning out of his car with his cell phone taking pics of my yorkies through the window!! When I asked him what he was doing (my husband couldnt see him doing it since he was on the passenger side and the guys car was lower then my explorer) he said "My wife has one of those" ????? I got in my truck and left but i still cant figure out why he would try to be so secretive about taking the pics.
